Organic Chemistry Molecular Model Set: Molecular Model Set

I got this because it is the same kit our campus uses. Seems like the guide included could be better and overall quality doesn't seem like a good value for price. I was also under the impression there was a website or program that could be used alongside with it. Buyer should be aware that the older version is tilted exactly the same but is double the price.

Sturdiness of this kit comes at a price: The pieces are a hassle to put together and take apart. Individual atoms are bulky and the bonds are much less flexible than those in other cheaper-feeling kits, which is annoying when trying to do chair flips and such.

Works great. Definitely a help in O-Chem class. Sometimes I run out of atoms if I'm building something a little bigger or trying to compare two configurations. But, overall, I think it's great. Good quality.

Easy to use

Great price and 99% like my classmates who spent $90 at the bookstore. This set is a teensy bit smaller, but I like that it makes for easier transport

This is a great way to visualize and get a better understanding of molecules. Even when it does not have a lot of pieces it is good for simple organic molecules.

I conduct conformational analysis workshops at a well-respected British university, and this set has made my life so much easier with its space-filling, ultra-short bonds and its many links and atoms. It is absolutely great to feel how the transition from a chair to a boat causes mechanical strain on the space-filling models, as this among other things makes the students wonder why chairs are normally favoured. It is overwhelmingly satisfying to manipulate the models, as it is to assemble and take them apart. Even my 6 year-old daughter had a go at building water... and liked it a lot.Crucial detail: very much like LEGO kits, this includes a tool for removing links - handy if working with the shorter ones!

Good value. Short bonds can be a little tricky to remove, so don't lose the included tool!
