Just so good
I'd sort of forgotten how good The Beatles were. I was still at school during their heyday, so couldn't afford to go out and buy many records. Then the 70's came along and I was earning but I had moved on to other stuff. Playing Revolver on vinyl introduced me to what I had missed, loved it and will be adding to my collection.

I wish they would stop releasing Beatles stuff. It costs me money!!!! I own all so forced to buy 'cos I don't have it. (only joking) They have done a cracking job as it sounds really good. The only down side is the clarity and separation. 'That is what it is all about' you may ask. It isn't. John Lennon wanted all Beatles in mono and I understand why. The Beatles were 'a great little band'....unquote. What has happened here is so much separation and clarity they don't sound like a band thus defeating the object. I don't agree with the mono bit but there is a limit.I understand it sounds detremental but not meant to be. It is great to hear things so clearly. I can listen to the original and this so it is a bonus. Soundwise it is fabulous but it won't be my first choice when deciding which version to play. There is always the mono button? (never going to do it)

Best remix yet. I much prefer this to the original.
I know a lot of people really rate this album but it has never featured high in my Beatles list. I always prefered Rubber Soul, Pepper and Abbey Road. This remix by Giles and co sheds fresh light on this album for me. I always thought the original stereo mix was claustrophobic, muddled and opaque. Giles has opened up this recording and brought with it a sense of atmosphere and composure that makes these very familiar songs breathe a new life and sound sublime. It's far more successful than the Pepper and Abbey Road remixes in my opinion as it's made an album I didn't play alot into one that I now do. Recommended.

Fantastic
I also have the 2009 digital remaster on vinyl and have just listened to that and compared it directly with this new stereo mix. There is more detail in this new version and a better general sound quality to my ears. No pressing quality issues or warpage with the record I received. If you like Revolver and quality sounding vinyl pressings, go for it!

What's not to love.
Purchased as a Christmas gift for a budding vinyl collector. He has been very happy with every vinyl I've given him, and the quality of the pressings have been great.
