This usb-c key says it has nfc. does this mean it can be used to authenticate a device wirelessly, or does it still have to be plugged in?

This Security Key (Feitian ePass K40) absolutely DOES work via NFC. I can confirm this as I have used it with NFC on my phone many of times as it is very convenient & very easy to do. It's slightly faster than plugging it in via USB as well, but either way works fine. I personally prefer using it with NFC. I am not sure where Sgt. Scott got his answer from, but maybe his phones NFC isn't working because as I said before, this Security Key most certainly does work with NFC. I can add a video to my answer showing me doing so if you would like a visual confirmation, but I assure you, it does work. It specifically states it in the item title as well as in the item description. NFC is one of the main reasons I chose this particular security key. I personally have 3, this one, which is the (ePass k40), I also have the (ePass K9), & the (ePass K40 Plus) which is the same as this one but also has PIV functions. All 3 of them have NFC capabilities & all 3 work flawlessly via USB & NFC.

Does it work with bank of america?

Of course, I use this at Bank of America.

Does it work in password Managers like Keepass?

For me, this doesn't work at all with almost no helpful documentation.

NFC feature not working

The USB-C part of it works. But not the NFC - it did not work with my iPhone. Other NFC keys like Yubikey and Identiv uTrust worked with my iPhone. The iPhone did not detect the K40 over NFC.

Works great, Looks great

Bought to replace yubikey(tm) that i lost. This looks better on my keychain. Works exactly as yubikey(tm) to secure my laptop and accounts. But much less expensive. I replaced the 5 NFC with this. The USB-C works with phone and laptop no need to use the NFC although It has it.

Software integration is garbage

, Three hours I tried to get it to integrate with Windows I just couldn't and it's pointless for Android almost all of our phones have fingerprint reader so, This does not do what it says. It's supposed to do

Buena construcción, práctica y buen precio

Suficiente para lo que necesito. Requería una llave para autentificación de doble factor sin la necesidad de tener mi celular conmigo, cumplió con lo que necesitaba. El manual funciona pero la página no es la mejor, desconozco si el soporte sea bueno o malo, no obstante no lo necesité, pude configurar la llave para google y microsoft sin problemas. OJO, no es una llave con detector de huellas, solo tiene un panel touch que funciona como botón. En cuanto al NFC no lo he utilizado ni requiero hacerlo, la construcción es buena y se siente durable, realmente por el precio creo que es la mejor opción ya que es USB-C y se ve y siente mejor que otras opciones del rango que son demasiado plásticas, delgadas y USB-A. Recomiendo
