Yale Security AYRDB-Drive Drive-in Deadbolt Latch, 2-3/8" to 2-3/4", Nickel

Not only does it work with my 8 yr old Nest Yale lock YRD540, it works GREAT! Someone who shall remain nameless (ok, my teenaged son) slammed the door so hard so many times while the old bolt was still extended that it bent to the point of no return. Had to remove it just to close the door. And then? Amazon once again for the win! Overnight delivered this and installed in literally seconds. Just push it in. Sure it’s not the old rectangle screw into the wood recessed mounting collar but as you can see some simple wood patch to fill the area flush which I did last night to let it dry and it slid in easily. Now just some primer and paint and good to go. NB: Took a second to remember how to extend it for the longer 2¾” backset my front door has since it comes pre-set at 2⅜. A quick google search had the answer: push the black button on the bottom to disengage a locking pin and yank it out to the next indent.

Works as perfectly as the original in its fit and design. Build quality is exactly the same as the original - what more can one ask for? It's a perfect duplicate of the original part! 🙂

Replacement was perfect fit for the yale rd226, the fit was exactly what was needed and as simple as placing the spindle into the slot. Same grade lock quality and durability as any other lock.

It works for the Yale Smart Lock but what they don't tell you is that the latch bolt collar(the ring on outer part of the closed deadbolt), shifts around and wiggles outward. Once it wiggles outward enough due to engaging and disengaging of the deadbolt lock, the collar ring will eventually catch the edge of the outer strike plate on the door jamb side. This will cause your door to not close, and cause your Yale smartlock to go into "dumb" mode and keep trying until the batteries are dead. Not a very smart design. They should have stuck to reselling a replacement part that has a latch plate affixed to it so that you can screw the faceplate directly onto the edge of the wood door itself. Not very standard, and not very practice. Good luck to you.

I was hesitation about ordering this as it doesn't list my specific Yale lock model in the description, but after seeing another review with my same lock model, I went ahead and gave it a try and I'm glad I did! It was a perfect replacement for my Yale x Nest YRD540. I was more affordable than I'd thought it'd be and it works great. No complaints here!

was a replacement for a Yale lock and did t fit . these locks just break first after numerous door slams and then u are stuck with 200 bucks in hardware that doesn't work.

Made installation of my yale easy. No need to chisel out my old door.
