Riedel The O Wine Tumbler Cabernet/Merlot + Viognier/Chardonnay

I’ve had these Reidels for several years, and I finally had broken a few so I ordered an additional set. I use them for Chardonnay mostly, but also other white wines.Here’s what I like about them: They’re sturdy and don’t knock over like stem glasses; they fit easily in the dishwasher and come out sparkling; they’re thin crystal so they feel and look elegant. Our cat and our kids are much less likely to knock them over! They’re also a nice size—perfect for a six-ounce or so glass of wine. Oh, and they’re easy to hold. I have medium-size hands and these fit really well.

Bought these as a gift and they are quite spectacular. Try drinking merlot from a regular stemmed glass and then try it from these. You will be able to tell the difference. These glasses make the wine taste so much smoother.

I am giving these a 5-star review even though I returned them. I love the Riedl glasses and the concept of stemless quality glassware. However, I wanted to use these for Mimosas for Sunday brunch, and they were just too small for what I needed. I should have checked the capacity more carefully before ordering. Nevertheless.. the glasses themselves were beautiful!!

The Riedel glasses come as close as possible to being the ideal wine glass. They are beautiful and fairly rugged, yet do not spill as easily as stemmed versions. What I like best about them is the thin and small profile- not heavy and thick like a lot of cheaper glasses. I also love the cost, as I don't have to worry so much if one gets broken.The ones I purchased are the Chardonnay versions, which are small. We use these for all types of wine (sorry!), mostly due to the convenient size.These glasses can be placed in the dishwasher, but be aware that the rims are delicate and will chip over time from being jostled in a powerful dishwasher as well as being "dinged" by the neck of a wine bottle when approaching to pour. If you want to wash them in the automatic dishwasher, my suggestion is to seek out the best, most protected place where they will be well contained and not move around on the rack at all.All in all, these are our very favorite glasses, and are used often. At a price less than 10 bucks each, these are well worth the money. One note on purchasing; I recommend buying these separate from other items to make sure they are packaged appropriately for shipment.

Quality product

The wonderful thing about Riedel is the sheer indulgence of the product. All their glasses are so thin, so elegant, so wonderful.The horrible thing about Riedel is that you are going to eventually knock over that darling glass and cringe as it shatters into a thousand million little sharp daggers across your wood or tile floor. Well, it might just do the same on carpet, to be honest. But that has not happened to us yet. But still....it is traumatic!I like the more rounded shape of these as opposed to the strictly Merlot style. It tends to fit in the hand better and also have a better survivability outcome due to the roundedness. I appreciate the thin elegance of the glass. Your wine just somehow tastes so much better when contained in this vessel.Obviously, I am addicted to these glasses. Except, if you are really a klutz and have a lot of hard surfaces around.......case closed?

I love a thin rimmed glass for wine, cocktails and whiskey. These are not too wide and fit my smaller hands perfectly!

Copo muito bom, embora caro, mas torna-o indispensável quando queremos apreciar um bom vinho. Outra vantagem é que torna-se mais difícil tombá-lo devido ao seu centro de gravidade mais baixo o que lhe dá maior equilíbrio.
