Comfort Cream Ear Plug Lubricant (Original Version)

I first used it at massachusetts Eye and Ear infirmary which is a division of the massachusetts General Hospital. i would think the institution is an excellent reference. it works i use it to eliminate feedback or squealing noise from a hearing ait is olso a lubricant to make the hearing aid more comfortable.

I use this to hold my custom made earplugs in place., under my helmet, while riding my motorcycle. Over the years my earplugs have become less effective, because either my ear openings have gotten slightly larger or there may be some contraction of the earplug material itself. Once they come loose it causes a loud resonance which is like no protection at all. It will cause permanent damage to your hearing. So I've been looking for a product like this that would keep them in place. Because It has a mild stickiness to the cream it gives adhesion to keep the plugs in, but leaves no sticky residue after I take them out. The tube is a little on the small size, but you only use a tiny amount. It works very effectively for this purpose. Motorcycling is much more enjoyable and healthier when you can ride quieter.

I wear earplugs anywhere from 40-70 hours a week. this product does help reduce irritation from dryness in the ear canal by adding a tiny amount to each ear plug helps create a much better seal and allows the ear plug to slide in easily and allows the earplug to glide rather than rub inside the ear canal while chewing for example, however it is somewhat challenging to roll the earplug once the cream is applied as it is slippery. This product gets 3-4 stars because I still have days where it's very uncomfortable wearing earplugs even with the cream. It may be user error or the long hours. That being said, I would highly recommend this product to anyone that has to wear earplugs on a frequent basses or to anyone that has problems using earplugs in general. It is a very small amount of cream however I'm sure even with daily use it should last at least 3-4 months.

I have a set of custom earplugs that I ordered through an audiologist. I always use Otoferm with them so that I can place them easily in my ears. This provides a solid seal of my ears and the plugs. I can still hear a little noise, but know I am getting the maximum protection available. I use a Stihl backpack leaf blower on a 1200-foot driveway, plus on several decks and other walkways, which takes 1 hour+ every time, and feel comfortable doing the work. I listen to lots of music so protecting my hearing is very important to me. I had to figure out how to most easily release the earplugs after use, as the crème does dry out a little. It took a little practice, but I've got it down.

This product did a fantastic job of sealing my ear mold and stopping the feedback. Because of radical mastoid surgery my ear openings are large requiring special molds for my hearing aids. The molds almost always leak. The product I used to buy was from the Netherlands and the company quit making it. I've tried many products but this is the first one to actually work and it works very well.

My child was having issues with feedback because she was outgrowing her hearing aid molds. We've been using this while waiting for her new molds to be made. It has helped immensely to keep her hearing aids in place and reduce feedback from sound leeching.It does leave a residue that requires a daily gentle soap scrub, but we'll worth the money.

I've been using the Flare Calmer ear inserts for a while, and managed to lose a couple. I tried a couple products that were lubricants for insertion but became a little tacky pretty quickly. The OtoFerm worked best!

I REFUSE to get this ever again, I had a hard time to get it in and out of my ear my gawd it was literally stuck. I have been wearing hearing aid since 3.. sheesh... sorry never again....
