Can the battery be removed for charging?

No, it’s solid and can’t be opened. The older model LC40 could be opened and fit an 18650 perfectly. The new model went backwards and you now have to sit around in the dark while it charges.

can you use a samsung 5v 2a phone charger to charge battery?

The LC40 I have has the micro usb socket (angled sides, trapezoidal shape). If the Samsung plug is usb type c (oval shaped) it will not fit directly. You would need an adapter or cable adapter with usb type C socket to micro usb plug to use with the Samsung 5v 2A charger.

Does Amazon sell the plug adapter for this flashlight?

Any USB wall adapter would do. I use it with my iphone charger.
