I wasn't going to review these, I rarely do for such a basic product, but the last straw was a review sounding angry and incredulous that a NON-reinforced *paper* that they used UNSUPPORTED would tear when full of heavy sodden used coffee grounds. Oh my, shock horror, soggy paper doesn't hold much weight. Who would have thought....Personally, I use these because cleaning permanent filters is a chore I don't like. I use these inside a permanent filter (sits nicer that way) but I could just as easily have removed the permanent filter from the filter coffee machine and had the paper filter sit in the holder. The point... I thought it would be obvious that a paper filter THE LOAD OF WHICH GETS WET DURING USE... would need support. These filters are even advertised as natural and readily biodegradable (good). Doesn't sound like they would be physically strong....Anyway, unless you are very unlucky batch wise, these coffee filter papers are just fine. They're not miraculous, but they're not crap either. Just fine. If you actually pay attention and read the info.... about as Ronseal(tm) as filter papers get.

Great value have been using these for a while now, no nasty taste like some bleached versions
