Excellent sturdy case that hopefully I will not have to test its fireproof or waterproof properties, but will mention that it is extremely heavy for exactly those reasons.

* Physical This is a HEAVY duty piece of kit for the protection of a4 docs you can't afford to lose. It very heavy, with oversized clasp fastenings. The device is opened with the keys in the lock. It's locked when rotating and removal of the key. There are two keys and make a copy of the number in the safe is to be copied securely in case you lose both of these keys. It does say opening the document safe every month to stop papers going mouldy with trapped humidity. This can cope with extream heat and water protection to an impressive level. It's over-engineered but in a good way. its a fair price and it came quickly to our house. I had an issue with the locking mechanism of this deed safe, but eventually found their contact details and proved a great help. Youtube has a video on how to EASILY repair this locking issue. I have an older, similar but significantly larger case that easily fits A4 documents whilst they are within the envelopes they were sent in. (After opening them, I like to keep the documents in their original envelopes to keep them apart whilst filing them and make it easy to remove a given document / set of papers by picking the correct envelope). This case is smaller than my old one so, whilst A4 documents DO lie flat inside it nicely on their own, they do not quite lie flat if still in their containing envelope as the envelope is obviously slightly larger than A4 - which somewhat ruins my filing system of keeping given documents in their own envelopes! That said, it is a solidly built case and as smaller, it is easier to move around the room than my larger one. All in all, it gets 5 stars all round for quality as it is a great, solid and compact case but 1 star removed from overall total as it does not work for A4 pages if left in their envelopes as described above. (The description does however show the case's internal dimensions so I guess I bear responsibility for this as I should have measured the envelopes (rather than the A4 documents) when checking fit!). Bottom line is do your own measurements and if you just need to store A4 documents lying flat on their own (or smaller things), this is a fantastic case, exactly as their description and for a very accessible price so I recommend it but, if you want to store your documents in envelopes slightly larger than A4 (as required to fit A4 sheets in them), measure the envelopes themselves carefully and compare to the internal dimensions (you will probably find they will not quite lie flat!) or decide on your filing system first!).

This thing is an absolute beast. I wouldn't be surprised if it's bomb proof. As other users have said, it is very heavy but the handle makes it easier to move around and I think most grown men/women would be able to lift it without too much trouble. A4 paper fits in well but I wish it was a tiny bit bigger so all A4 papers could sit completely flat. With the way it is, A4 edges will curl ever so slightly up on the edges of the inside of the box. But if, like me, you only have a hand full of documents that you want to keep safely together in one place, this is a very good solution. I don't rate the lock much (reckon it could easily be picked by someone experienced in that) but it's good enough to stop kids, nosey guests etc having a peek. EDIT: Forgot to add, a fairly generous sized pouch of the silica stuff was included which is a bonus as you don't have to buy it separately or wait for your next pair of shoes.

Good size inside. Some reminder. - Do not forget to air the box and put some silica packs to avoid moulding. - Store the box on its bottom, not like a suitcase on the short side. (Like the lid opens up, like a chest) Only this way will ensure full protection. - Make notes on the included manual about the key number and the product number for replacement keys. Keep this info somewhere else, not in the box. I tried to avoid using the keys as they give no security from a theft perspective, but you cannot remove the key in open position and the key lock add to the sealed lock. The click on closing mechanism are plastic, so yeah, lets use the lock too. The box is heavy. I put it in the bottom of a wardrob. I would not dare to test any of my shelves with this box.

I think it should be metal and much tougher than it is The lock feels a bit on the flimsy side. It is well protected by the case but, basically, it all comes down to a small lever that the key turns up to lock the lid to the box. The two silver flip down clasps are not lockable and offer no added security really There is no anchor point on the box to lock it to, say, a heavy chain and padlock for extra security. You can use the handle, of course, but this could be broken with a jemmy. Overall, I would give it 6/10

Chose this item as it looked much sturdier than others on website. Wasn't disappointed. It is a strong heavy box which certainly looks as though it will offer maximum protection. It will not house A4 documents in envelopes without some curvature. However if documents are removed they fit fine. All my important documents are now stored in safe fireproof and waterproof environment. Item was not bought for security reasons so the absence of any method to secure it to floor is irrelevant. A previous review stated that the box was heavy and would need to be placed close to any escape route in the event of a fire. However the whole purpose of this box is to prevent the loss of important documentation or precious belongings and I for one would not be wasting time dragging a heavy box out of the house if a fire occurred. I would rather return and retrieve the box and contents after the fire is extinguished !!!

altamente recomendable por la seguridad que aporta. el tamaño de capacidad es A4. pero justo justo A4, unos milímetros de margen hubieran sido de agradecer, ya que los documentos caben exactamente y a veces cuesta retirarlos para su consulta. en todo caso es una caja muy maciza y de elevado peso, que dan una gran sensación de confianza y seguridad. cierres pesados, duros y rígidos que completan el conjunto y la sensación de seguridad que transmiten

Sehr hochwertige Verarbeitung. Der Innenraum dürfte 2 cm noch vertragen, da er meine DIN A 4 Blätter nur leicht gebogen verstaut.

Lieferung per DHL im normalen Zeitrahmen (ca 5 Werktage). Bedienungsanleitung in englischer Sprache plus verständliche Skizzen. Der Koffersafe wiegt ca 14kg... was auf seine hohe Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen Feuerhitze und Wasserdichtigkeit hoffen lässt. DIN A4-Blätter bzw -Verträge passen (samt Klarsichthüllen) ohne zu knicken hinein (keine DIN A4-Ordner !!!). Ich hoffe nicht, daß der Ernstfall einmal eintreten wird. Aber falls doch, dann vertraue ich auf diesen Dokumentenschutz.

Es una mini caja fuerte. Está muy reforzada (se nota en el peso). En mi caso la empleo para almacenar baterías de Litio y de otros tipos (tengo varios vehículos de RC y otros aparatos que las llevan. No puedo decir por experiencia que sea efectiva (no he tenido ningún fuego afortunadamente), pero quiero pensar que lo es. Pegas? no es especialmente barata...pero es el precio de la seguridad...

Una buena protección para cosas importantes. Capacidad algo justa para su tamaño debido a la protección que lleva que resta sitio. El cierre me hubiera gustado de mas calidad pero está bien ha que no es una caja fuerte sino una caja de protección. Buena compra a buen precio
