Does this need to be put in a machine or can I just add hot water and milk?

This is ground coffee rather than instant coffee. You could either use a machine or a french press to brew the coffee first before drinking it.

I was unable to find out with certainty. I did find that the caramel syrup that Starbucks uses in it's stores is NOT vegan, so can only speculate that the flavoring for the bagged coffee also is not.

Bad taste & very disappointed.

Most of the time packaging is deceiving but the most important is the taste, flavour & freshness. This Starbucks caramel coffee ground is not good compared to the capsule one. I’m expecting it much better & eco friendly but I’m disappointed of the taste.

Tastes lovely, nicely sealed and packaged. Though, at £18 a pop, it's a little dear. Tastes exactly like caramel coffee should, and no extra flavouring is needed, but it's not the sort of thing you'd get consistently.
