This might well be my new FAVOURITE cooking ingredient!! I was looking for something to replace the flavours derived from bacon and gammon. This is definitely IT! It has a deeply Smokey and rich aroma. The taste is even better. A little goes a very long way! It has a similar consistency to soy sauce. Perfect for adding to soups, stir-frys and sautéed vegetables. Beautiful.

If you haven't tried it, you definitely should! It's difficult to replicate that traditional BBQ 'smoke' taste without actual coals and fire, but Colgin is probably the closest thing. Oh my goodness this stuff is delicious!! Fantastic with salmon, burgers, steaks, chicken and sausages. I squirt some on for the last few minutes of cooking for flavour and caramelisation. One bottle lasts ages.

I used this product because I thought it was going to change the flavour of the whole thing, and add a smokey flavour. When you smell it, it kind of smells like BBQ sauce, and because you are only meant to add it in tiny volumes (because it's so strong) you don't really know how much to add, or how much is too much, etc. Overall, I'd say if you want the proper BBQ taste in your dishes, invest in a small charcoal burner (which can also be used as an extra stove), and a bag of charcoal. After that, just do the 'Dhungar Method' as seen on YouTube and other platforms. This really elavates alot of dishes and adds a flavour as if it was done directly on a grill.

i saw the reviews about leakage and when i got mine in the mail i shook the hell out of it before i removed the outer seal to see/smell if it leaked any. It didn't. after removing the outer seal and upon unscrewing i could feel the cap pulling up on the inner seal. The act of unscrewing the cap was what broke the inner seal. i was cooking ribs so i did what i had to do and used it. :) The ribs were delicious and my family is all alive and well weeks later. This product has changed my life, i put this in a 2 oz glass dropper bottle and only give 3-7 drops per serving of food depending on how smoky i want it. I don't really like the design of the liquid smoke bottle as it often spills down the side when trying to use it. However i wont take a star off for that. I also find that the ingredients are suitable and compliment the smoke aroma.

Love this for when I make my beef summer sausage gives it a great smoky flavor. Also use this to make dips.
