Nice pictures - Motion Detection sensitive
We have been wanting to get a camera for our back alley for months ever since our neighbor's camera caught some dudes checking their truck and our vehicle to see if they were unlocked late at night. No bueno. We do have some vehicle theft in our area - especially with the alley ways being so private. AND - we have 3 teenage boys - one of which I could see trying to sneak out and be naughty... haha! (Just like his momma used to, let's be real.) I love that this camera was so easy to install - just screw it in and you're good! The only problem for me was that the bottom of the camera by where it screws into the light bulb thing was preventing it from getting it to insert in order to screw it in. I had to remove the light assembly to basically loosen the inner assembly so that it would come out a little to let the camera screw in. That was a bit annoying. Maybe it was just my light fixture...it IS from 1999. The picture is great - as you can see from my picture - and the night vision is really cool too. I ended up purchasing the cloud feature to save my videos. For some reason I thought there may be a way to insert an SD card or maybe send files via bluetooth to my computer. I wasn't super excited about paying extra for the cloud service. And honestly I'm not sure if it saves a certain amount of captured videos via the app that you could download if you wanted? The app is incredibly easy to use and like I said, the whole setup is fantastic. I'm still trying to figure out the motion detection - it goes off every time the trees blow around or if my dogs happen to walk along the fence. I saw something about human detection on the app, but I'm not sure how that works. There is a "do not disturb" function, so I can set it to not send me notifications during the day. Also, there's this "Starlight" function - I think it turns the light on when it detects motion? I promise I've had this for probably a month but just haven't played around with the functions enough. So I'm sure this review is super not as much helpful as it could be. Maybe there's a YouTube video out there about the specifics? There IS a YouTube video for EVERYTHING... I would recommend it - the price is RIGHT for the features and quality! And it connects to Alexa and Google Home. I connected to both (we also have a Google Nest at our front door), but also haven't tried that out either and not sure how it would be helpful. AND, it has a siren! I guess if it alerts you there's motion and you see some very bad people trying to do bad things, you can activate the siren and freak them out. THAT would be FUN!

Amazing quality and price!
I'm using the camera outside in an protected outdoor room to keep it away from the elements which is working great. As I was taking the photo. I immediately got a motion detection notification. Pros: - clear picture both day and night. - the app options are really good for customized use. - the memory card option helps when you don't want to use the cloud. - the settings options for the camera really help you use it to it's full potential. - the motion sensor light that comes on at night is convenient feature without having to get a separate light source. - easy to install and place anywhere with the plug and play capability. - true as advertised and more. Cons: - slight lag if you don't get a WiFi extender. - the camera direction tool is very sensitive so I keep adjusting it but not that bad. Would be nice to have a lock and unlock option for that so the cameras direction doesn't change by me simply swiping the screen. I'll search the settings again to see if they have that. That's it. I would totally recommend this camera to anyone who's looking for great quality surveillance equipment without drilling into your walls and needing to pull wires, they also have other camera options available as well. I went ahead and ordered the outdoor camera as well because I loved this one so much also plug and play. Well done! Highly recommend.

Great Security Camera for the Price
The camera works great and was easy to install. For those who arenโt tech savvy, or who have never set one of these up before, the setup was quick and easy. The picture was also very clear; true HD quality. Iโm able to not only see my mailman, neighbors, etc, but I can do so vividly and with clarity, which comes in handy for observing would-be wronguns. The two way radio feature is nice as well, though could be a bit clearer audio. Again, for the price, itโs amazing. There is a siren feature, which is good in theory, though I wish it were louder. My next door neighbor is only able to hear it if they are outside and fairly close. I also wish the siren would go off automatically after viewing suspicious activity or some auto command to alert me, instead of me having to manually power it up. My only real contention is the app interface. The system is a bit odd to navigate, and can be confusingโespecially the auto-command center. For example the method to make the light come on/off automatically. Once you get the hang of it, itโs relatively mechanical, but initially it comes across as user unfriendly. Itโs a bit similar to the basic programming functions of earlier computers wherein you choose the desired result you want based on preexisting conditions. Again, it makes sense on paper, but I think it could be executed a bit better. However, this in no way hinders the overall success of the product in any way. Quality camera, great price.

LaView works well for me.
This was a replacement camera. I really like these cameras for observing the front and back doors They are easy to connect to the network and the memory cards I installed allows me to review a few days back. With it connected to Alexa I can see whats happening when I'm away from the house and the picture quality is super.

When it worked, it was good. Very unreliable / flaky
This light bulb camera was recommended by a friend. I bought it and amazon shipped it very quickly. The setup was fairly straight forward. The app is a bit over complicated and not intuitive as to what buttons to activate, or push. I plugged the light bulb camera into my front porch fixture. At first, it was working pretty well, although, I couldn't view videos saved until my micro SD cards showed up (about a day later from Amazon). After that, I was able to view and download videos and even shared with friends. So far so good. The video quality was excellent. I didn't like that it continually seemed to throw various error messages, such as "Establishing an encrypted channel" while waiting for a response. Then, it was usually followed by message "Failed to establish encrypted channel." Followed by a link named "Retry". Sometimes, it took several tries before the app would respond. I also got message "Device Connection interrupted. Please check the device." Followed by "Click to Retry." I couldn't tell if the camera was actually capturing events while the app was hanging up. I had the camera connected to a socket that I had turned on. Without changing anything, the camera started going offline -- multiple times. I ended up turning the light switch off and back on a number of times. Sometimes it would come back online -- sometimes not. At one point, the camera decided to face the wall (rather than forward). I was unable to get it to move using the app. I went out on the front porch and it did seem to detect I was there. But, then it went back and faced the wall. Odd. One of the suggestions was to restart the device. I did that through the app, and it didn't help. I was not able to use the manual restart while the camera was connected, because it's up where my porch light is. I deleted/reinstalled the app and it didn't help. I attempted to contact the manufacturer. No response on their website chat facility. I called them and got a message that their phone system was being serviced and would be out until after 2/11/24. With that -- I decided this camera was going to be returned. I had also purchased another of their cameras and it was still unopened in the box. It is being returned as well. I need reliability without frustration and this camera did not have it.

Perfect price to performance
I think the offering that Laview is putting out is mastering all of the simple aspects of a good camera system as cheaply as possible. On a whim bought this due to a deal without diving into hours of third-party review. Laview mobile application: IOS/Android -Simple to navigate, all the right features, easy to learn, and probably the easiest time I've ever had connecting a wireless device to a mobile application. -Downloaded BlueStacks Android Emulator (Free) for Windows to run the application on my PC as well as my iPhone. -Automation: Super surprised by the out-of-box features of this application, looks like you can do a lot of Camera feature scheduling here. (IE: Turn on motion detection at a given time) Cameras: -Wireless Connectivity: As I mentioned above with the ease of setup, I use an auto-switching 2.4/5ghz Google wifi, these are only 2.4ghz but connected without issue. (Only point this out because other devices aren't as plug-and-play) -1080p these aren't going to give you the best quality at a distance but at a range of about 15-20ft you can make out distinct facial features. -Motion Detection: Works exactly as expected. -Sound Detection: Works great -Night Vision: Low light product is also great here, no complaints. -Video Playback: This is one that I was extremely surprised with, paired with a 64GB PNY A1 Micro SD card. The playback interface, usability, and responsiveness to load and review video was top notch. Considering this is running the playback locally from the device, technology has really come a long way. Note: Says Fat32 sd cards are only supported, the exFat format worked as well. Other Thoughts: -Think you need to keep in mind the price point on these, I spent 250 bucks getting full 360-degree house coverage. A single ring or nest camera can run you 150+ dollars. -None so far, I like to point out that I went and purchased several other products from Laview to bolster this setup. Smart Locks, outdoor light socket cameras, and a smart doorbell. -Utilizing the Outlet Socket adapter on the outdoor lights to plug into outlets in the outdoor soffit outlet or replace a recessed bulb. -Did integrate with Google Home but don't see much functionality there, requires a Google display to interact with the Cameras. -Integrated with Amazon Alexa and you do have Smart Home controls on a phone as well as an Echo Show, this is the way to go. -Only drawback I see is not being able to integrate it with other third-party smart home applications for a single pane of glass. -Buy the PNY 64GB micro sd card (3PK)

Work great but don't stay connected
These light bulb cameras are great however they won't stay connected and constantly go offline. They're easy to install, have good video quality, good features, you can add an SD card for storage, and the app is good. The big issue though is that they won't stay connected to the wifi and constantly go offline. When they go offline, you have to do a hard reset on the camera, you can't reset it from the app. I had initially used them to monitor a house in a different state and they were useless after they went offline. I then brought them home and connected them to my home wifi system and had the same problem. Here at home I have a mesh router with satellites and 1GB upload and download speeds, it's fast and reliable. So I know it's not the wifi. The only reason I still use them is because I have one of those light switches that is programmable and so I set it to turn off at 11:59pm and turn back on at 12am. So if for some reason the cameras go offline during the day, they will reset themselves because of the schedule on the light switch. If it weren't for this problem, I'd rate them a 5 instead of a 3.

This gets the job done!
LaView 4MP Bulb Security Camera 2.4GHz,360ยฐ 2K Security Camera I was for sure skeptical of this product's ability to perform as well as a regular home security cameral. I've actually been searching for a couple of years now for something that would do what I need and desire in a security camera. We all know most systems are extremely expensive as well as long term costly via having to pay a monthly or even yearly fee for service. Not sure about everyone else however I don't particularly care for the idea of someone sitting in an office somewhere in the world watching me on camera or depending on someone else to secure my home and land. Privacy is important, that's the whole idea behind it. I have a connection via Satellite system internet as I live in a rural area where I can't get the option of fancy fast internet. So my wifi is often spotty and even failing. I was concerned that having the bad wifi would make the camera itself just simply not work. Also my modem/router is 80ft away from the area where I wanted to place it. It works perfectly!! I had zero issues setting this up. It worked from gitgo! Setup: I read the horror stories and I did exactly what the instructions said. I plugged the camera into the outlet "spike protector" to make it easier near my modem/router placed the mini sd card into it and then activated it. I moved it to the desired location unplugging the light bulb and screwing the camera in and boom! it worked right away! 5 minutes tops! Motion tracking: The motion detector and tracking is great. It's fast it's smooth and doesn't miss a thing. I set it up then let my hyper German shepherd out and it kept her in focus and tracked her over 2 acres of land where it's viewing. Night Vision: I have to agree with most of the reviews I read, I do prefer the night time full color it's a nice crisp image. Note: You do need a bit of light source for the camera to draw from for the color it doesn't take much we have an outside light around back that shines a small amount up front which was plenty for the camera to work great. Regular Night Vision is also good and both are great quality. Sturdy, high quality photos and video. It will record all the time or you can set it to record on "event" someone walking around or critters doing what they do best getting into mischief. If you don't have the best internet, I believe you will still be able to use these cameras. I honestly have one of the worst in the country lol and it works! I would recommend these cameras.
