Would this be ok for upvc - want to protect conservatory

Yes it's perfectly fine on smooth upvc. Not recommended on textured upvc as it will be tough to remove the residue from the textured surface.

Could this wax also be used on the headlight casing?

I do, and have had no issues. However do not put this on your front windscreen because it leaves a very very thin film your wipers will struggle to wipe away water effectively and it will leave smears.

What should i wash the car with before using this? is it ok to use zip wax turle wax shampoo first?

Iv used cheap car shampoo and it works fine. They all prefer you use their own or autoglym as they car more conditioners than wash wax. It's very resilient wax been on my car 4 weeks never washed in that time and it still beads brilliantly despite being rather dirty now. Most other waxes wouldn't be this resilient to road salt and grime.
