A very good quality notepad, it's got the pocket at the back so you can store recipes or any other paper you may nee to store, It's got the ribbon bookmark, and a very good size so you can place it in your pockets,or maybe even your shirt pocket, it may be a bit too small for some people, make sure you look at the size! It's very good if you want to jot some ideas / notes down quickly due to it's size and where you can put it. Lastly it's well bound, You may find a few things you don't like, but I think the faults are slim to none.

I've carried notebooks like this around with me for years. I've always found them very helpful when travelling abroad and literally cut and paste things like itineraries, check lists, maps, helpful phrases foreign languages and that sort of thing. Admittedly now with smartphones I do that a lot less but the one thing a smart phone can't replace properly is a notebook especially for making extensive notes. I did pdas back in the day and tried tablet and styluses but I can honestly say they're still not up to the task in this one particular regard. I get through quite a few of these in a year and I got annoyed with how expensive the moleskine brand were becoming so I looked for a cheaper alternative and found these. The cover isn't as nice, that's the only difference. It's well made with a decent cover, a fair grade of paper and a back pocket and bookmark; In all other regards this is a moleskine pocketbook in all but name. I guess it comes down to price and as to whether that extra £5 is worth it for you a little tactility and for me it wasn't.

After having the product for over 2 months now and carrying it around with me every day there are still very little to no signs of wear. Sturdy, well-built product, with a nice feel to it. Good quality paper too. Only possibly drawbacks are: -Paper thickness, the ink writing does show through slightly (ink from a Uni-ball pen), however not an issue with a pencil! -Potentially slightly expensive for a pocket notepad. 4 stars and would recommend.

And that's a shame. Silvine is my favourite stationery brand, and I use their stuff almost exclusively. This notebook would be perfect--in appearance, in its ability to lie flat, and in several other regards. But while the paper is not bad for ink, it's not enjoyable. This is, of course, only my opinion, but Silvine could make this paper more like that in their very cheap products and improve it by doing so. Hope they read this, because I'd love this product to be right.
