A nice lamp for the money, the switch onto the backup supply is quick and bright, the transfers are very sticky and transparent enough to let light through.Easy to fit and light weight, yes i will recommend this unit.

I ended up buying 3 of these to position around the house. Connected to a cable & 3 pin plug. One in the kitchen, hall & lounge. Lights the downstairs & stairwell if the power goes off. Feels slightly cheap (they are), but once connected up, & placed out the way, they don't need to be hare wearing. Very good value & have been reliable so far.

I have these installed in my HMO. Electrician to install. Good for the price I would buy again.

They're easy to fit and wire. They do what they're meant to do.My one reservation is that they have NiCd batteries, which were superseded many years ago by MiMH, then in turn by Li-ion. I haven't had a chance to test their ability to last for the claimed power-off time.
