HP USB External DVDRW Drive | Compact | 8x DVD and 24x CD Double-Layer Recording Capability | Windows and macOS Compatible | Black

Nice little drive - it feels sturdy and works well.

Item arrived as described. It works. Just plug in and play. Thoroughly recommend this product.

The third time I have ordered an external dvd drive and the only one to work with my Lenovo Ideapad. No instructions but straightforward once connected, I use it with Windows Media player. Good delivery, well packaged, arrived on time. Satisfied.

If I could have gone down half a star to four and a half I would have. At first the drive did not show up on my laptop, but as soon as I inserted a CD it did. After looking around for CD ripping programs I settled on one and have ripped well over 30 so far (out of 3,000+!!!!). Some CD special editions even have extra discs that are video/DVD and I have managed to rip these too. I cannot comment on its burning capabilies as I haven't used this facility, and doubt I ever will frankly. So far it is performing well. I occassionally get error messages about importing certain tracks, but that's probably down to the discs rather than this unit, and as far as I can tell, the tracks ripped anyway. My only gripe? In the days when I had a desktop computers with CD/DVD drives in the tower they were fairly sturdy. Laptop CD drives years ago were always flimsy so I expected this to be a bit sturdier, but when the tray is ejected, it does feel very flimsy and I wonder how long it will last with all the ripping I have to do in the future, hence the half point deduction I would like to have given. Overall though, (so far) a very competent piece of kit.

Bought to go with my new laptop which doesnt have a disk drive. Simple to set up and use and great compatibility and value for money. Very happy with the quality of it and its a good size.

Great drive. Plug and play very compact. In

Brilliant for copying and for using as a dvd player as well

I ordered this as my old HP Windows 10 pc no longer recognises the built in version. What a pleasant change to have something that works straight from the box. It does the job perfectly.

Bon lecteur/enregistreur. Compatible tous Windows.

Good product can use with pc and laptop as well. Good design. Build quality is also good. Performance is satisfactory as USB drive.
