Sennheiser Headphones - Original Accessory Cable - 3-meter unbalanced cable with 6.35mm connector plug for audiophile open-back HD 600 Series headphones

An obviously high quality cable from Sennheisser themselves. Bought as a replacement for my old HD600 headphones. A more robust (by the look of it) cable, with the other differences from the original being that both the two pin plugs that go into the earpieces are black, as opposed to the red and black of the originals, and it has a hardwired full size stereo jack rather than a mini jack and (quite cute!) adaptor. The red/black did help quickly identify left from right but no big deal. As to sound quality, I hear no difference, and didn't expect to either. As an ex professional sound engineer I experienced many great claims for the 'sonic efficacy' of one cable over another... and hence some ridiculous prices. Along with all of my colleagues, eyebrows would be raised and that old comment of, "What IS that smell?" would be heard, even from those designated as 'golden ears'. No doubt some would disagree (many from 'HiFi' world) but then it's amazing what one can persuade oneself of, in subjective audio terms, when one's just been relieved of a great deal of money for a few metres of cable... 😉 In summary, this is a good cable, worth the tenner paid.

Authentic cable, high quality and identical to the original cable 💯

As the name suggests if you use Sennheiser's and you need a 1/4 inch jack this is your best bet. the feel and look is almost identical to my original Sennheiser cable. The quality is great, i'm more worried my audio interface will break before the cable will. I've used other cables but they've all been more expensive and very flimsy, for £8 this is the best value and best quality i can find. I use Sennheiser hd58x jubilees for reference.

Works well, for the price.

This cable is advertised as a replacement cable for the Sennheiser HD650 headphones. It should also be labelled as being a replacement for the HD600's as well, which is what i bought it for. After my 600's developed intermittent sound loss in the left hand ear, i looked online for a way to fix this myself so that i would not have to return them. I found multiple suggestions as to what the problem was and how i should go about fixing them. Fixes ranged from using tweezers to stretch a tiny coiled spring inside the ear cup back into shape. Soldering the spring onto a miniscule cable so that the connection is constant. All of these were either very fiddly and awkward or just potentialy damaging if not carried out perfectly. The best advice i saw was to fit the replacement cable for the HD650's into my HD600's . Figuring this would be a safer option i gave it a shot. I can report that the cable has worked perfectly since the instant i connected it and has not given me any problems whatsoever after about 4 weeks worth of use. If anyone else has had the same problem with their 600's this cable would be my recommendation for fixing them. The cable is a good deal thicker and better quality than the one it replaced. 5 stars

The left channel on my much loved HD600s started acting funny and after some swapping and testing the issue turned out to be in the original cable that came with them. This happened two and a half years after I purchased them with moderate (~12hrs/week) use. I'm not sure why Sennheiser would ship the HD600s with such a flimsy cable. Anyway, I had to buy a new cable and decided to upgrade to the HD650 one. Turned out be a great purchase, totally worth it. The cable is much ticker and sturdier looking. You can check out the differences in the photos I uploaded. I highly recommend getting this cable instead of the original one.

Original Hd650 cable is ok for the price but they don't last a very long time . Breaking at the strain relief at headphone socket. I much prefer the older hd600 cables as they are thinner and lighter much more flexible than the hd650 cables not as bulky, some aftermarket cables though are way worse it's why i still buy them. Just wish they would last longer and were thinner like the older hd600 cables but it's ok for the price.

Great price & sound good

Aunque este es el cable de repuesto de los HD650 yo lo compré para los HD600. Sonido: He comparado este cable con el cable de serie original de los HD600 y me parece que el sonido mejora con el cable el de los HD650. Noto menos fatiga auditiva en los grupos vocales de coro voces y metales, algo más de relieve y separación entre instrumentos y voces así como algo más de escena sonora, en general un sonido algo menos metálico. A lo mejor estas diferencias no se notarán conectados a un móvil o algo así pero desde luego conectados al reproductor de cds y el amplificador de auriculares dedicado sí que se nota. Parto de la base de que el mejor cable que he escuchado para los HD600 es el de Cardas, pero el de 3 metros sale por algo más de 300€.....Hay otras opciones: tengo también un cable confeccionado con cable japonés Canare de micrófono y clavija furutech que hacen sonar mejor aún a los HD600 que con el de los HD650 pero solo mide 1,5m y necesitaba uno de 3m así que hasta que encuentre uno a precio razonable esta opción a este precio es más que buena. Construcción: Es más grueso aunque no se si solo ha engordado la camisa exterior o también los hilos interiores. Solo tiene Jack 6.3mm frente al de los HD600 que viene con 3.5mm más el adaptador a 6.3mm. El precio además es más barato que el propio cable de los HD600. Los extremos que van unidos a los pabellones son también más grandes (aunque encajan perfectamente en los HD600) y son negros ambos canales, a diferencia de los HD 600 que son rojo el R y negro el L. Precio: lo compré a 18,83€. Si bien su precio es de 10,20€ en otras tiendas, (debe ser el precio oficial), con los gastos de envío al final se me ponían en casa más caros que en Amazon a casi 19€ y francamente prefiero la confianza que me da Amazon y la entrega en 1 día. Volvería a comprarlo? Sí, sin duda.

Absolutely perfect! Got these to replace my original cable which came with my Massdrop x Sennheiser HD6XX (the Made in Ireland version) which stopped working out of the blues. It works perfect for the HD6XX, more of a tight and snug fit than the original cable. Its around 10ft in length which works perfect for me. It is indeed a genuine Sennheiser Product which is printed nicely on the packaging. It is also terminated with a fixed 1/4" Jack at the end of the cable, NOT your typical 3.5mm Audio Jack.

Good quality, fits as should.
