very informative usefull and easy to understand a good book for all tattoo frame makers

After taking a recent interest in machines but guides being scarce, this is the only book I found. It gives well described step by steps and precise measurements. It gives a list of machining tools you need but I've managed to build the machine with minimal hand tools. It takes a bit longer using hand tools but its definitely do-able with some knowledge of metal work. I can see it being tricky for those who have no knowledge in metal work/engineering but its as simple as a guide can get for such precision machines.

Bought this for reference on machine anatomy and geometry. Great book for a starting point and learning how a machine works. Would recommend for anyone at any point in there tattoo career.

It a great book for building old school tattoo frames. It is very simple to understand. Yes you need a background in tool usage as you will need tools often to build these. Pros: it’s fun if you wish to build machines the old school way. Easy geometry and you can change the geometry if you need. My old mentor and I used to make make machines as part of my apprenticeship in the days it was nice to know the function of the machine ,how to modify if wanted or needed. Pro: Fun for nostalgia. Traditional is still the way to go for many artist. I have kept all my coil machines that I have built from this book or bought from elsewhere. It’s personal. You get to have the satisfaction of you own build. Simply written. Cons: There are no cons. Knowing is half the battle.

Excellent info for frame manufacturing. Will only be useful to a handful due to the machine tools required.
