Luminoodle Color Bias Lighting

I ordered the 2m strip to go on the back of my new ultrawide monitor. Although I may have benefitted from having 3m to cover the entire back of the monitor, 2m was enough to light up the entire area really nicely. It really completes the look of your PC setup! The sticky strips are incredibly easy to apply to the back of the monitor and the LEDs are really bright. The remote control has every setting you could need including several colours, different modes and brightnesses. It's worth working out where you're going to plug in the USB power before you start sticking them down, but if your monitor has a USB slot, you'll have no issue. I've got mine plugged into my soundbar's extra USB, which works well as the soundbar is usually on when using the PC. Obviously when the soundbar isn't in use (if I'm using headphones etc) then the LED strips are not powered so can't be used. Great product that does exactly as it says it does, bright LEDs with a range of colours. Easy to install.

This really does give your tv a wow factor, and I find the picture seems even better with the back light, the only reason for 4 stars is if you have a 65” Samsung curved TV then the hdmi connection is not on the back of the TV but in a separate connection box, which has been great..no mass of cables going to tv...but the lead cable on these lights is really short so does not reach the box...have ordered an hdmi extension cable to fix the problem.

Great choice of colours and the 3m length was perfect for my 27" computer monitor. The little remote they include has very good functionality allowing you to cycle through different colours with the arrow buttons - or choose from 6 default colours, change modes and adjust the brightness. The lighting in 2 of the pictures I've added look a little fuzzy but that's really just my phone camera having trouble picking out the finer detail of the light hitting the wall. It looks far better in person. This LED strip has drastically reduced any eye strain when using my monitor for extended periods, plus it looks really pretty if your keyboard and mouse are RGB capable and you customise the colours to match. I like this product so much I may end up buying another longer strip to use behind my TV. I'd definitely recommend this if you're looking for a good customisable bias lighting solution at a fairly inexpensive price.

First Purchase Review: The reds(and extended colours) didn't appear to be working at first - both when I plugged it into a random USB slot to test the lights before attaching and then after plugging it into the monitor's USB port itself. However, simply unplugging and plugging it back in apparently remedied that and I have to say that I love this product. I was excited to get it and, save for a small bit of anxiety at first when I thought there was a problem, I still am. Great purchase. UPDATE: After unplugging my monitor from the socket instead of powering it down first, the red channel completely died and no tricks would remedy it. I contacted support and they immediately sent out a replacement which arrived quickly and works perfectly. They forgot to ask which size I needed(as did I forget to tell) so they ended up sending a large which I attempted trimming as is instructed and can confirm that it is perfectly safe to do so! Still a very happy customer and further impressed by the support. Second Purchase Review: This is my second purchase and I am just as happy. It seems that they have gotten a new batch and updated the remotes so that they have a few extra buttons that make it a little easier to control and understand. I got the large(3m) and placed it on my 49” tv. The 3m only specified up to 40” and the 4m started at 55” I believe, but 3m worked just fine. Just a tiny part where the lights couldn’t complete a full loop and honestly, that could have been avoided if I left a bit more space between the edges as I should have and didn’t have the slightly awkward, detachable tv stand to work around near the bottom. With that said, there’s no observable difference in the lighting even with that small space so it makes no difference outside of a niggling OCD! As always, very happy to recommend. I was a while waiting on new stock to arrive as I knew what I was getting and I didn’t want to take a chance with another brand. The new stock (at least for now) also comes with a 25% off coupon, so if you think you’ll get more later on then keep that in mind!

Easy to install and remote works well but have given 1 star as the pure white colour (which is the colour I planned to use) 99% of the time has a blue/green tint. Not what I wanted at all. Very disappointed.

I went for this make on the Amazon store after looking at similar lights on eBay, but majority on there are Unbranded and I wanted a branded product regardless of the price. Fitting the lights was a breeze and they stick really well to the TV with 3M adhesive backing, on plugging into toe USB the lights didn't come on, I tested my USB port with a normal USB lead to a power bank and it worked fine (problem !! not really ) they lit for a brief second then went off the connection was a little lose, so I purchased a USB extension lead only 98p plugged that into TV USB then the Luminoodle into the lead. Hey presto, they worked just fine, so I assume My USB on my TV doesn't like the thin connection the Luminoodle have, but into a new one on the little extension USB, well it works a treat. Remote works fine no problems there, choice of colours good as well. Overall I would recommend this product if anybody is thinking of Lighting for your TV. Sorry it was a little long winded but I hope it helps people with the same problem, they may think the lights are broken which wasn't the case.

This looks lovely around my son’s gaming monitor. I have taken a star off because it’s a little fiddly to install the strip but it does stick well and the lights are really effective

This review is as much about the quality of Power Practical's customer service as it is about the product itself. I ordered the color bias lights in the large size for my 58" plasma TV. Once I received the item, I realized that a portion of the strip was not working properly. Only about the first 2 feet of the strip acted appropriately to all of the different modes and colors. The remainder of the strip would not light up at all except for the color green. I contacted PP's customer service via email through Amazon. Included pictures of the light strip and the issues it was having rendering it defective. I was responded to the same day from a wonderful CSR named Aurora. Aurora kindly apologized for the defective light strip that I had received and promptly put in a replacement order for me. She didn't even require me to return the defective item back to Amazon! This was certainly a time-saver for me and was much appreciated. She treated me with the utmost respect and we even shared some unrelated conversation about home towns in the email exchanges that we had. True to her word, she got me out a replacement item that worked perfectly! I cannot say enough about Aurora's kindness and willingness to ensure that I, the customer, had a pleasant experience. I would definitely not hesitate to purchase something from Power Practical again in the future. As for the product itself... it's awesome! Installation takes 5 minutes from prep to being done. The large strip was long enough for me to completely go around my 58" TV with enough to run approximately 4" on the bottom of each side of the TV. The lighting itself is superb. It was the only lighting on in the room and my eyes never felt strained after watching nearly 5 hours of television (I had a long work night that involved a lot of doing nothing, so I was watching TV). I'm not sure I will use any of the modes that perform things like fading from color to color. I most certainly won't use the strobe mode (unless, maybe I plan on a disco party in the future!). But, the solid color modes are most excellent and exactly what I was looking to get from this product. It definitely enhanced the viewing experience and I did notice a marked difference in the on-screen quality as well. I'm sure there are some optic tricks that are occurring within the eye itself with the bias lighting. But things like the black levels were definitely more enhanced using the bias lighting. Anyone looking for a low-cost method for bias lighting should definitely give this item serious consideration. They offer a white-only version that is even cheaper for those not looking to indulge in any colors. Kudos to Power Practical because the product is excellent and if the customer service I received from Aurora is any indication, then this company definitely puts a premium on quality of both product and service.

Wir haben es jedoch extra angeschlossen, um die Lichteffekte auch ohne TV geniessen zu können bzw. nutzen wir ALEXA. Funktioniert alles super.

I have two of these and they're great. One remote will control both of them at the same time. Brighter than another brand i tried. My monitor has a usb c but no tybe a, so an adapter was an easy fix. no software needed for basic stuff. Ton of value at that price.

With a myriad of these led strips on the market its easy to be overwhelmed with options. I took a bit of a chance on this slightly more premium-priced product and do not regret it. From the packaging and overall first impression to the actual product install and use itself, everything is of great quality and well thought out. The Remote is very nice and handy to use. The colour and brightness is also very good. I used the 2 meter strip for my 34" Ultrawide monitor and it is a perfect size. If you're considering bias lighting for your eyes or just overall ambiance, buy this one!
