nice processor. dont be put off by the lower clock sppeed the cpu will turbo up to 3.3 if it has to. the diffrence between this and the 6500 is not much for gaming as i did researched this when considering an i5 for gaming. overall great cpu although stock intel cooler is a bit loud

Over clocked this bad boy to 4.2 ghz on a z170 Asus mother board and it works like a dream. For the price tag what's point in buying 7 series cpu for 2x the price when after 40minutes you can buy cheaper mother / cpu for more power without the worry of too much heat. I used an after market alphenon German cooler and it has no problems whatsoever so your choice just look up the options to save yourself money.

Great Processor, fast and can run the division on ultra settings, only annoying thing is that it went down £40 3 days after buying it, so I could bought a 6500 or bought an after market cooler. Buy ASAP.

I already think that I am going for 5 years with this processor, I am very happy with the purchase, it does not heat up much or consume a lot of energy. For games it is good until games of 2019 some of 2020 runs perfect but it depends on the game I am talking about the top ones.

Performs above expectation as I use it to stream off and it easily allows for me to stream in 720p 60fps onto twitch with this processor. It is a very solid CPU for the price. 10/10 would recommend

Il me fallait un bon processeur pour ma nouvelle carte mère ASUS B150M-C. Le i5 6400, qui est sorti récemment, et bien qu’il soit cadencé qu’à 2,7 ghz (3.3 en boost, lorsqu’un seul cœur / thread est sollicité), il a les derniers jeux d’instructions et l’IGP (le chipset graphique intégré au processeur). Il possède 4 cœurs physiques sans hyperthreading, soit 4 cœurs en permanence au top, avec « turboboost » (hausse de la fréquence en thread unique. N’est pas tenue pour plus d’un thread du fait de la dissipation thermique). Ce processeur est ainsi plus véloce que sur un haut de gamme ancienne génération. Cet IGP est de plus compatible avec l’API direct X 12, qui est une retouche logiciel de bas niveau qui pourra avec Windows 10 faire tourner « mieux » avec « moins » de ressources les scène 3d. Et puis il gère la définition 4k. En plus, cette dernière génération de processeur est gravé plus finement que l’ancienne, ce qui fait un TDP (dissipation thermique) de 65 watts au max. C’est moins de bruit de ventilo et des économies d’énergie. Une bête de course à recommander vu le rapport qualité / prix

Although this isn't officially supported for overclocking, almost any z-170 (such as the ASRock Pro 4s) can overclock the non-k cpus so long as you don't mind reverting the bios. I have mine clocked at 4.1-4.3 Ghz and it is noticeable how much faster it is and not much hotter either. Although if you go this route I would recommend water cooling to help the chip stay a little cooler and last a little longer, but I do recommend the 6400, or the 6500 depending on whichever is cheaper at the time you decide to buy.

Alles in allem funktioniert der Prozessor tadellos und bringt die nötige Performance für alles, was ich damit tue. Ob die Daten Analyse, Multimedia, Videobearbeitung oder nur Office- und Surfe-Verhalten, der i5 ist allem gewachsen. Somit habe ich mir das Geld für einen i7 gespart und kann trotzdem keinerlei Einbußen feststellen.
