I can highly recommend this oil! 👍
I’ve been using boiled linseed oil for many years now and can vouch for it being an excellent wood treatment that is suitable for use on all wooden surfaces (except exterior Oak). I tend to use it on my garden furniture, though I have used it on various other wooden items - like the beech handle on my metal detecting trowel which constantly gets subjected to the wet, muddy conditions I use it in all year. For best results, I find it best to apply with a tissue/cloth to a clean, dry wood surface, leave for twenty minutes, wipe off excess oil, let it dry for 24 hours, then apply a second coat (less required because it won’t soak in as much as the first coat), work the oil along the grain of the wood, then finally wipe off the excess and allow to dry. On smooth wood, the finish you achieve will a nice attractive sheen. The bottom line is that this oil will penetrate and seal your woodwork and provides you with a very effective, long lasting protection, and can be used all year round on interior and exterior items. It’s application also enhances the natural grain and colour of the wood. Interestingly, this oil can additionally be used on porous stone, terracotta tiles and even metalwork.

Good product
The small bottle is not as good value for money as the bigger bottles, but I only wanted it for a small project and anything larger would have been a waste product that is not easily disposed of.A small dab on a tissue and I applied it to some bare olive wood. It soaked in and dried out nicely. The wood has had several treatments and is not looking quite nice and has some protection from water. I believe that this is one of those products where repeated and regular application over time gives better protection. The wood darkens slightly with this, but in an attractive way. It doesn't feel like it is sealed as you do with varnish, but it is protected. You are advised to wear gloves with this as prolonged exposure to it can cause irritation. There is also a slightly unpleasant smell to it, but it does fade fairly quickly (depending on ventilation and the surface area covered of course). You also have to be careful as it is flammable until dried out (including the rags used to apply it).Good product and I have no regrets

Oil ok but the children safety cap was faulty
The oil is good, indeed superior to to raw lineseed oil. It penetrates better and dries up more quickly. However, the safety cap was first impossible to engage, then detached completely from the base cap. That is a product safety fault that merits deducting 3 stars.
