Do we know of any extras or imporvements on this PS4 version, over the PS3 verision? Or is it a lazy port of an already HD Remastered PS2 game?

having looked at the 3 versions side by side by side. the ps4 version is the real remastered version as promised. all textures have been polished and antialiasing is fully in place . then theres the ability to share your playing experience with the world via you tube and twitch

Does it come with the original Japanese dub or have they yet again eluded this option?

I'm sorry to say that they have eluded to include the Japanese dub. Just plain English my friend. Although there a couple of random fights that start with a bit of Japanese!

Does it has Chinese or Japanese subtitles?

Dont think so... only english subtitles and with the awfull english voice acting

I got the HD remaster for my PS3, not expecting a PS4 release; now, I love FFX to bits, but are the differences big enoguh to justify a 3rd purchase?

Probably not ! Unless you wanna watch the cut videos in HD but save ur money and use YouTube
