Rimmel London Fix and Protect UV Shield Primer, 30 ml

This is by far the best primer I have used.I have tried: W7 Prime Magic Face Primer Camera ReadyRimmel Stay Matte PrimerRevlon PhotoReady Perfecting Primer (around £12)and even the Benefit Porefessional Primer (which is over £20!)I actually prefer it to the Benefit primer!Primer is supposed to make your make-up go on smoothly, providing a dewy and even finish. It's also supposed to make your make-up last all day. This primer leaves my skin luxuriously soft without feeling greasy or heavy. I personally never have problems with my makeup going patchy and it does last a full 16 hour day for me (although I do use good makeup - i.e. Max Factor Face-finity All Day Flawless foundation and Estee Lauder double wear concealer). I am 21 years of age and have normal, healthy skin.How I use the product:I moisturise my face with Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti-ageing moisturiser and wait around 20 seconds before applying a pea-sized amount to my face. I sweep it over the areas that I am going to be applying make-up to (my nose, cheeks, chin and forehead) and wait about 20 seconds before applying my foundation with a foundation brush.This really seems to sink into my skin and provide added moisture, making my skin look dewy and fresh. On days where I have been rushing or daydreaming whilst doing my makeup I have applied my foundation and wondered why my foundation hasn't glided on seamlessly and looks somewhat dull. Then I have realised that I forgot to put this primer on! Primer really does make a difference to your make-up and this one is perfect. It is the right consistency (thick and creamy but not heavy) and has no unpleasant smell and doesn't clog my pores since I rarely ever have spots or blemishes. As previously mentioned, I actually prefer it to the expensive Benefit Porefessional primer which did not leave my skin dewy.I have used this product for years, its perfect for me and I very much doubt I will find a better one :)

It’s affordable and amazing 🤩 I love how it feels and glides on so silkySince I began using I have found my makeup sits much better, lasts longer and blends more easilyI am not sure if it contains sun protection but I got caught on a day that looked overcast when it began at the seaside on holiday which turned into a scorcher… and had no sunblock in my handbag however whilst everywhere else on me is peeling now- my face hasn’t and has a lovely tan!I tend to use moisturiser, then the primer and a tinted moisturiser and really find I no longer need foundation when I use it under a tinted moisturiser, it just smooths everything perfectly and stops it slipping off or looking too greasy within a few hours but I have used it with full foundation and been amazed by the difference when I didn’t use this primer to using it. My cousin is a make up artist and introduced me to this one over much more expensive brands as this is her favourite too!My only gripe is I wish it was available in larger sizes although the convenience of carrying it in my handbag doesn’t disappoint me but since I use it everyday I wouldn’t mind a larger tube for at home as well as handbag sized - that said it does last me a month or two despite using everyday because you really don’t need that much with how it glides easily when you first apply it

Decent product but very watery - which isn’t a negative if that’s what your used to

The media could not be loaded. It's a good primer can be worn with out without makeup, spreads lovely over your skin, it's not a thick texture, only thing I don't like about this primer it's not good for oily skin.

A lovely Primer. As good as, if not better than, some more expensive brands.

This is an essential in my make-up bag.Unfortunately I cannot find this Primer in the shops in the UK anymore. Rimmel have changed to only the red one, which is awful and it's a smaller bottle.So VERY happy that you can still get it here.Gives a lovely smooth, soft base to make-up.REALLY hope is comes back to stores.

As I have oily skin, I find it quite hard to find a primer that works properly for me. I've had some in the past that I've fallen out of love with but I really do like this one. I've never gone for the Rimmel primers as they're quite cheap and thought that they wouldn't work as well as some around the £10 price mark but I was massively wrong.After doing my normal skin routine, I apply this primer and let it sink in to my skin whilst I finish off styling my hair. I'll then apply my foundation (Estee Lauder Stay In Place) once it's fully set and it works wonderful with my foundation. It feels lovely on my skin, helps the foundation stay in place longer than it would on its own and as I have oily skin, it really does mattify the look. I'm happy using this on its own too when I'm just running out of the house due to how it makes my skin feel.
