Hi, Fully extended it is 75 inches long. I am both tall and broad and this strap is way long enough for me (with plenty more to spare) on a low slung Les Paul - and the 3" width makes a big difference with a weighty guitar too. Hope that helps.

Can't recall the exact length, but I'm 6' 2" and it could have easily hung my guitar around my knees if I'd have wanted to. It's long!

Yeah it's black. Probably just the way it's catching the light in the photo. Still the strap on my main guitar!
