Atomic Wall/Table Clock (512-85937)

Extremely easy setup, only takes 2 or 3 minutes. Great range on the transmitter, I have mine hanging about 30 yards away. The clock itself looks very nice, mine is mounted above the medicine cabinet and I have a second one in the bedroom. (They both use the same transmitter.) Very long battery life, well over a year, perhaps 2 or more.

I have purchased many of these and all work great with no issues. I always look for the ones where the sensor is backwards compatible. This allows me to have backups if needed since multiple clocks can work off one sensor! Love LaCrosse!!

Overall, we really like the large numbers and accuracy. BUT, we hate that there is no stand to keep it at one viewable level. It has a plastic legs that come off the back and angle the unit on a tabletop. Cheapest plastic movable legs that don't allow viewing capabilities when unit is on tabletop to when person is standing up. I absolutely hate that these foreign manufacturers have eliminated stands on all of the weather stations. This unit was the best of the worst of all of them. No backlight (check), large numbers (check), battery operated (check), easy visibility from tabletop if you're standing up (NO CHECKMARK THERE!) unless you're sitting or laying down. You can always hang the clock on a wall for possibly better visibility but that wasn't going to work for us. Overall I like it but don't strain your eyes if it's in an unreadable position. POOR R&D!

Very nice appearance and construction!

No backlight option was available, but that would drain the battery a lot faster. An optional button that would offer illumination for 10 seconds or so would be nice. The batteries that I use last a long time. The ones I have in are going on 6 months in both the outdoor sensor and the inside unit. Another nice feature would be to show humidity levels and/or to note daily high's and lows of temperature and/or Humidity. However, the weather forecast icon based on barometric levels is a great feature. However, at the price point this was at, it is a solid value and it performs very well. I really like that it shows the day as (i.e. SUN) with numerical month/date instead of all numbers. That was a huge selling point for me. Other units would show 11/3/2024. Great, But what day is it? Hey, when you're retired days and dates can blend in rather easily. But even working full time for years, sometimes you'll find yourself asking what DAY it is when you ask the date and someone says "the 3rd" and you'll have to ask: Great, Now, what DAY is it? I'd recommend this unit. If you buy one, it can take longer than you expected for the station to find the Atomic Clock signal. At least it did for mine in my location, but it did and the auto-set for time zones is an added plus.

I loved the look and easy assembly of this. We keep the clock in our master bathroom so it was meant for time checks and temp checks in the morning. Unfortunately, the temperature reader outside stopped accurately reflecting temperature after 2 months. It sits on a garden shelf, in shade, under an awning away from the elements, and this worked great in the beginning, but now the temp sign will blink every day and tries to tell me that a 70* F day in the shade is 119* F outside... Not sure what's wrong with the weather sensor but the indoor clock part works great.

I'm very pleased with the clock and what it has to offer, it lets you know what the weather is like in your back yard. If and when you buy one, always make sure you load the batteries in the outside unit, as it will start sending the outside temperature. If you load the clock first then it will start sending and it will be awhile before you will show the O/S temp.

It works well, easy setup, can't be precise about their claims on its accuracy.
