ARCTIC MX‑6 has quickly become my new favourite thermal paste. Application is incredibly smooth it spreads evenly, isn’t messy, and has just the right consistency for both beginners and experienced builders. The moment I applied it, I could tell it was a quality product. The performance speaks for itself, I saw an immediate drop in temperatures compared to the older paste I was using. Under load, my CPU runs cooler and more consistently, and the system feels more stable overall. It’s impressive how much difference a good thermal compound can make. Review of Thermal Paste with Cleaning Wipes I’ve used this thermal paste for some time now, and overall, it performs exceptionally well. However, there are a couple of things worth mentioning—one being a personal gripe and the other something that could have been improved. Performance First and foremost, the thermal paste does its job. After application, I noticed consistently low temperatures, which is exactly what you want from a product like this. Compared to other thermal pastes I’ve tried, this one stands out for its effectiveness, keeping my components cool and stable under load. The Smell of the Alcohol Wipes Here’s where my personal gripe comes in: the smell from the alcohol wipes included with the paste is very strong. I’m not sure if the potency is necessary to clean off old thermal paste effectively, but it’s something to be aware of. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of not immediately disposing of the used wipes after use. The lingering smell in my room was overwhelming and awful—definitely a lesson learned! Pricing While the paste works great, I feel the price is slightly on the higher side. For the performance it offers, it’s reasonable, but a bit of a price drop would make it more accessible to a wider audience. Pros Excellent Cooling: Keeps temperatures impressively low, even under heavy usage. Included Wipes: Convenient for cleaning off old paste, although they come with their own drawback (see below). Cons Strong Smell: The alcohol wipes have an overpowering odor, and failing to dispose of them immediately can make the smell linger in your space. I bought this as I would normally have used the mx-4 paste which is normally picked up for pretty cheap and is a great piece of paste. I bought this as it's the newest version which claims to be better at passing heat to the heatsink. I can safely say that this is much better than the already great mx-4. So far I've used it on a couple of gaming PCs and servers. I wasn't expecting this to have too much of an impact on reducing cpu temps, however after applying this, I can say I'm seeing temps drop as much as 20 degrees. I must admit the 20 degree drop was from a used gaming pc that had horrendous paste applied previously which most likely wasn't changed at all. On my servers I'm seeing a good 7-10 degree drop in CPU temp. This is fantastic. The kit comes in a little box with the syringe of paste as well as a little pack of cleaning wipes. These made quick work of cleaning CPUs completely, I would normally use separate thermal paste cleaners and primers, however this kit was so handy, the wipes clean off paste as quick as a hot knife through butter. They smell like lemon and if you've used any similar cleaner then you'll know the smell. I think it's great. All in all. Very happy with the product, will certainly be my go to as thermal paste from now on. From this pack I've changed 4 CPUs and there is obviously still lots left. The paste itself isn't watery, it's not too thick either and spreads fantastic. There isn't a spatula to spread the paste, I personally don't use them but I know some would prefer this method. I just go for the blob in the middle and let the heatsinks spread it evenly.

The MX-6 thermal paste performs very well in heat transfer and paste application. Temperature drops were noticed immediately under load and re pasting the CPU was very simple as the paste has a slightly higher viscosity compared to MX-4. Spreading the paste for full coverage was fairly simple and quick. The MX cleaning wipes are a double edge sword compared to iso propyl alcohol. While it does a great job breaking down the old paste for clean up, it also makes the paste very runny. It does not affect any clean up per se but it does get a little messy and stain a lot of things like automotive anti seize. Finally as noted by many people in the review section, the odor of the cleaner is definitely strong. I highly recommend this job be done somewhere ventilated and throw the wipes directly in the outside trash can.

Nach einigen Tests und Erfahrungen kann ich sagen: Diese Paste ist absolut hochwertig - wenn man sie richtig anwendet! --Verarbeitung & Anwendung - Keine Spatelverteilung nötig!-- Ein häufiger Kritikpunkt in den Bewertungen ist die hohe Viskosität der Paste. Ja, die MX-6 ist dickflüssiger als andere Pasten, aber genau das ist beabsichtigt! Sie bleibt stabil auf der CPU, verläuft nicht und sorgt für eine langlebige, gleichmäßige Wärmeübertragung. Wichtige Klarstellung hierzu: Diese Paste ist nicht dafür gedacht, mit einem Spatel verteilt zu werden! Der beste Weg ist die Erbsenmethode: Einfach einen kleinen Punkt in die Mitte der CPU setzen und den Kühler mit normalem Anpressdruck darauf montieren. Die Paste verteilt sich dabei von selbst perfekt. Nicht mit einem Spatel verstreichen! Das kann zu ungleichmäßiger Verteilung oder Luftblasen führen. Durch die hohe Viskosität bleibt sie dort, wo sie hingehört, ohne sich bei der Montage zu verflüssigen oder auszulaufen. Ich habe die Paste genau so aufgetragen und meine Temperaturen sind absolut top: ✔ Idle: 35 - 40°C ✔ Gaming: 40 - 60°C ✔ 3DMark/FurMark/Prime95 Stresstest: Unter 80°C Das zeigt, dass die Wärmeübertragung einwandfrei funktioniert und die Paste perfekt aufgetragen wurde. --Reinigungstücher - Effektiv, aber geruchsintensiv-- Die mitgelieferten MX Cleaner Tücher haben ihre Aufgabe gut erledigt: Sie entfernen alte Wärmeleitpaste problemlos und hinterlassen eine saubere, fettfreie Oberfläche. Ja, sie haben einen starken chemischen Geruch, aber das ist normal für alkoholbasierte Reinigungstücher. Coming from the old Arctic Silver products, this stuff is a pain to spread, so I quite trying and just add the usual "X" shaped application and it's worked great when compressed. Temps are always competitively low.
