All 30 episodes of David Lynch's landmark murder mystery series. Twin Peaks (population 51,201), a sleepy everytown USA where everyone's lives intersect with everyone else's, lies just five miles from the Canadian border. The town wakes up one morning to find one of its brightest young inhabitants, beautiful Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee) murdered and wrapped in plastic down by the river. Local Sheriff Harry S. Truman (Michael Ontkean) and tearful Deputy Andy (Harry Goaz) are out of their depth with such a murder case and an FBI agent is assigned to investigate. Youthful, charismatic and somewhat otherworldy in his approach to policing, Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) arrives to try and solve the case. Cooper's appearance causes ripples in the community and in turn he discovers that Twin Peaks is a small town full of secrets.

WOW! Worth the wait. Amongst the very best Blu Ray releases without question.
Really worth the price. All DVD sets of Twin Peaks so far have been relatively bare bones, I owned them and sold them on. This Blu Ray complete set is a keeper though. Not only is the quality and sound conversion worth the price alone but you also get loads of extras, Pretty much everything you could imagine wanting. And yes that includes the legendary Fire Walk With Me missing footage and I must say when its presented like this it has been worth the agonising wait.I can't fault the package in anyway, truth be told. I love the little extras like Lynch sitting down with many of the actors from the series to talk at length about the performances. Fifty pounds for 10 blu ray discs will always be good value fundamentally but even the packaging is really very pleasing on the eye and has a nice weight to it. I think the high quality in every area from content down to presentation of the box must be as a direct result of having David Lynch directly involved in this release, his love for Twin Peaks oozes out of every part of this complete and full release. And I am sure you will find, as I did, that you will fall in love again with the series. Still amazed how they got the picture to look so good (I guess that is what going back to the negatives with the Director does) when all previous DVD releases were so mediocre.Whatever series this might happen to be it really is a top notch release, I cannot stress that enough - if it were a release of Three's Company I'd have to begrudgingly give it top marks for restoration work put in. That this incredible restoration and rarities package is bestowed on Twin Peaks just makes those who liked or adored the series very very lucky. If you don't own the DVD's then you should get this. If you own all previous DVD releases you should still buy this. Its so good its a very good reason to upgrade to a Blu Ray player if you have not yet done so.

... was first shown in the UK I have always loved the show
Lets get the objectivity out of the way first - since seeing Twin Peaks when it was first shown in the UK I have always loved the show. Love it I say! So I was eagerly awaiting the BluRay release for two reasons - 1) to see it in all its glory (picture quality wise) and 2) for the missing pieces of Fire Walk With Me. It arrived today...As to the picture - well, I've only seen the film and the missing pieces from the film (basically I've watched disc 9) and I have to say that it looks stunning. Clear, bright and I've never seen it looking so good. A pleasure to watch! As to the missing pieces - well, interesting though they are I cannot see that they add anything extra to the movie experience. To be honest I can see why David Lynch left them out! Don't get me wrong - it's lovely to see some of the TV gang in some extra footage (like Sheriff Truman, Hawk etc) but other than that... The bit with Bowie in was the best bit for me, that was the only missing piece I can really see a point for in the movie. The other thing that really appealed to me is that it has Spanish subtitles and language options - and since I'm brushing up on my Spanish, getting to see one of my favourite programmes whilst having the opportunity to practice the language at the same time is a real benefit and selling point. Note to other manufacturers of DVDs and BluRays for all future releases - please release programmes in the European market with Spanish subtitles too (don't just include them in American releases!).

"Twin Peaks" The Way It Was Meant To Be
When the package came I was beyond excited to finally see this set for myself and finally have everything from the series in my grasp.I'd heard a lot of great things about all the special features and how great the series looked on blu-ray, but not much about the packaging itself. The boxset comes in a sturdy, heavy cardboard casing and each disc holder and "card" in between is printed with beautiful images from the series. The front of the box has the picture of Laura Palmer we all know and the torn away pieces are actually rigid and give the effect it represents in the picture, exposing what's beneath, much like we see in the series as we see the lives of the residents of Twin Peaks exposed for what they truly are. The back of the box shows a blue rose which is important in "Fire Walk With Me."The series itself has been cleaned up and looks wonderful. This is definitely what fans have been waiting for. Being able to have all the bonus features included (interviews, deleted scenes, Log Lady intros) makes me so happy. I hadn't watched the series in so long and as cliche as this sounds, it was like seeing it for the first time. I'd forgotten all the twists this series had. Finally having "Fire Walk With Me" on blu-ray is exciting. I find the movie to be great and I don't understand why people didn't like it when it was originally released. It's rather frightening. I hadn't seen it prior to getting this set.Hopefully more people pick this up before season three starts next year!
