The Passenger Pigeon

A good book that explains the passenger pigeon extinction and what these birds were really like. It makes you think of the mass extinction going on today. We need to do something.

This is a gift for my sister. When I received it and opened the book, it was wonderfully illustrated and well written on the history of the Passenger Pigeon. I would recommend this book !

Great book that led - via his detailed bibliography - to other great books! Mr. Fuller always delights with his extensive knowledge on the subject of extinct birds.

This book contains great illustrations and photographs, and it tells about the tragedy of the fascinating Passenger Pigeons of North America simply and clearly.

beautiful, heartbreaking treasure trove

I bought this book for my grandson, who is very interested in Natural History and Science. He had been watching a t v programme about extinct animals and birds and then I saw this book mentioned in the paper. He found it very interesting and learnt a lot he said. I have not read it myself yet.

Another excellent book by Errol describing how such a numerous bird died out. It is well illustrated and well researched.

this beautiful & fascinating book arrived yesterday and looks absolutely fabulous - alas i only have feathers from passenger pigeons but one day i'd like some stuffed ones. Lavishly produced and written by an expert. no library is complete without this book
