NUMBER ONE FILM NOIR REFERENCE BOOK
This is a Taskin European digest-sized edition of Alain Silver's "Dictionary of Film Noir", originally published in the 70's. This book has the English actress from "Gun Crazy" on the cover; I happen to regard "Gun Crazy" as the best film noir, rather than others. I am glad to have this book.

Not a Reference Book
Nice enough little book, but shockingly, no index so you can't look up titles. Very disappointing. It's ok if you want to read about the genre. Also not comprehensive at all.

Everything you need to know about Film Noir...
I'm so glad I ordered this book. It's a compact powerhouse of information and inside information about one of my favorite types of film. If you want a book on this art form, then I would suggest this one. Great buy!

Small but perfectly formed.
Beautiful book. Just what you would expect from Taschen. Do note the dimensions though, just in case you are expecting a large coffee table sized book, which this isn't. Superb book though absolutely packed with stunning photographs.

Thick, detailed book featuring tons of info on film noir movies. I will always have this on the bookshelf.
