Epoxy Putty White

Everybody should have this product. Easy to use and very versatile. Used to repair small cracks on exterior patio tile. Water and weather resistant. Also used for repairing a pottery figure. It worked perfectly. Easy to paint when dry. Very strong.

I purchased a flat with double-glazed windows with white, plastic frames. The previous owner or perhaps a tenant, had drilled holes in the plastic window frame; presumably to mount a curtain rod, which is a rather silly thing to do but there you go. I used this product to fill the holes that were left behind after the screws were removed. The product has to be thoroughly mixed and then applied quickly before it begins to harden. I pressed it into the holes and smoothed it down as best I could with a metal putty knife and a bit of water. I allowed in to cure for a couple of days. The surface was then solid and fairly smooth but a bit rough to the touch. I then smoothed the filled areas further with some very fine sandpaper. The filled areas are now quite smooth but more dull in appearance than the original surface of the window frame but nothing that is particularly noticeable to a casual look. If one was super fussy, I supposed they could find a polishing compound to make the surface as smooth ans shiny as that of the original plastic frame but in my opinion that is not necessary. I don't think most of us look at are window frames that often or with a particularly high degree of scrutiny. I found this to be a good product that did what I needed for a fair price. Five stars out of five.

Milliput quietly brilliant—you end up reaching for it more than you expected. It starts off satisfyingly sticky—ideal for actually gripping what you’re fixing—then sets rock hard and, crucially, waterproof. Splendid for anything from chipped ceramics to outdoor repairs. The texture is smooth enough to shape without a wrestling match, and the white colour dries clean bright white. And the value? Remarkable. A small pack that seems to fix half your life before it runs out—Practical and dependable.

Excellent product, used it to fix a hole in an acrylic bath tub. Once made up, it has the consistency of plasticine and was ideal to push into the hole because with a bit of pressure it could spread out into the void behind the damaged area before setting rock solid. Slow curing time gives plenty of opportunity to shape it and remove excess material. Unlike a resin based epoxy it does not run it will maintain the exact shape you sculpted. It is not recommended for thin surface repairs and scratch filling, use a resin for that. The two components must be mixed for 10 minutes to fully activate. During this process the putty can start drying out and crumbling but if you add a few drops of water on your fingers it will go back to the plasticine consistency. It washes off fingers with soap and warm water.

Oh boy, this is wonderful. This is the best for me personally, from an accessibility standpoint, and for the projects that I needed/need to do. It is a bit difficult on the joints, but overall much nicer than impossible-to-open wood filler cans (Much more difficult to open than paint cans. One has bent my metal filling Knife). Very easy to work with. But need to work quickly, as it starts to harden within 10 minutes. I mixed for about 2 minutes, instead of the reccomended 10 minutes, for this reason. The result was just as great. Easy to sand, and sands lovely. Easy to make flat like this, but impossible to make flat when applying, so leave a little bit extra on top to guarantee flatness when sanding. Easy clean-up (Dry cloth, and then wet cloth). To measure out and store I suggest cutting the amount you need with scissors while the pavkaging is on, setting aside, wrapping cling-film around what you will be storing, and putting both in a plastic zip-lock bag (Make sure it doesn't have holes or tears). Then back in the product packaging. To fill holes, I would reccomend to make it into a tube, put in gently as far as you can, and then repeatedly push hard with your thumb to pack as much product in as possible, even when it looks full to the top / overflowing. Just keep pushing hard, and then when the product stops going in scrape off the excess, and leave a thin overflowing layer.

Brilliant stuff. I have used this multiple times for many different applications. Once to create a mount on uPVC doors for alarm sensors, once to fix a stone birdbath, to fix the plastic bodywork on my motorbike, to fix a cracked uPVC windowsill. Each time it was easy to use, adhered well to the item being fixed and was plyable for long enough to be moulded without issue. It's very durable. Easily as hard as concrete; doesn't flake and can be sanded or even painted. I would say that reviews complaining of it not hardening properly have likely not mixed it thoroughly enough. You must mix it like bread dough in your hands for 10 minutes. Don't think "that'll do" after only a minute. It's a two part epoxy putty (often also called builder's putty) and the chemicals in the two putty sticks must be thoroughly mixed to activate the hardening process. Also, wear disposable gloves. It can be a pain to wash off your hands and get out from your nails.

It does fill cracks in hard plastic and forms a good surface when sanded down but, it's hard to mix, sticking to the pvc gloves you are supposed to wear, but the biggest issue is that it just doesn't want to spread or be smoothed down. It's slightly better if you use a metal spatula and heat that up prior to use, but you are still left with an uneven surface that needs a significant amount of sanding down to achieve a smooth surface to paint over. I wouldn't use it again if I could find something that is easier to use.

This is amazing stuff to repair things, it does need to be well mixed and should be worked as described for the correct amount of time, if the two sections were different colours this may be easier to ensure the mix was correct, but wanting a white filler this is not an option. Sets hard and really effective, it is a very strong adhesive and sticks the bits together well A very versatile product that I have used for a few different applications
