Panther Armor Dog Scratch Door Protector, 3 Pack, Durable, Shield from Claw

I was skeptical at first. It felt very thin, not as tough as I thought it was going to be. I was even afraid of the dogs scratching it and then having to peel it off and ruining more my painted front door. But it worked! It withstands two persistent dogs who want to come inside and out. I’m glad I got the large in case I need to add it to the inside of the door now.

From a dog’s perspective, this was utter dog crap. The adhesive is terrible. Was falling off right after I put it on the door and wall next to the door (used a card to get the air bubbles out). Overnight, it fell completely off the wall and door. The only thing it will stick to is itself when it rolled back up after falling onto the ground. This product is way too expensive for how terrible the adhesive is. Might as well use packing tape for a fraction of the price…which I did just to hold it up on the door and wall. Do not buy, just buy packing tape to do the same job

Overall, the product works fine on doors. Although paint did peel away from the door in question, it would be easy to paint over. We actually bought the product to protect wood windowsills that have a very light finish - the house is a rental and I wanted to protect the sills from our dogs. The previous renter left several scratches and stains from planters and cat claws and our big dogs are definitely much harder on the sills, even though they've only put paws on them once or twice. Installation was a little frustrating, as the stiffness of the roll made it difficult to line up with an edge while unrolling, and the adhesion is strong enough that uninstalling will definitely leave both door and sill surfaces in need of a significant touch-up. The test strip on the windowsill immediately pulled up finish and actual wood - it is probably a softer wood, but anyone hoping to protect a rental's wooden windowsills should not use this product - you'll just be repairing the damage done by the protector before you move out, and other DIY solutions will be less work in that regard. 4/5 stars: the product works as intended, and does protect doors from big paws, at least in a short period of time. We don't have excessive scratchers so I can't speak to how well it would hold up against an agitated dog actively pawing a door multiple times a day. Installation and the fact that the product seems to cause a little damage to paint, woods, and finishes makes it a flawed solution.

Love this product! It is really simple to apply and just take seconds. We have had it for a couple of months now and there is one tiny hole. Keep in mind we have an 80lb German Shepherd. She had scratched all the paint from the door frame in a week. She does not like it when I leave so she jumps up on the door. I repainted and put the protectant over the top. I am happy that with all her jumping after a couple of months there is just one little scratch.

This did not work for us. Our door is not flat so it could not adhere fully. Also I tried applying it o.mb a 90 degree day and that may have hade something to with it peeling off the next morning I will say applying it was easy and under the right conditions maybe a good product. We ended up going with a much less attractive options so it’s probably with a shot.

I have 2 pugs & one of my pugs loves to scratch on my front door when she’s on the patio (I live In a townhouse) I just Got a new door in December & I was Constant cleaning the door bc of my dogs paws so I invested In this product & im totally satisfied bc my dog doesn’t mess up my door anymore.

This product is ridiculously difficult to install and make look decent. I purchased 4 boxes (it got expensive very fast) and even on round 4 i look like i love in a trap house. 4 different members of my family attempted to put this on and we each spent 3-5 hours with our attempts. Such a waste of money and extremely time consuming. If you purchase make sure to hire someone to install it, if not. Youre just throwing away money. It also leave a sticky residue when removed. You'll need goo be gone. Your finger prints will leave marks and residue on the sgicky part, so be carefull not to touch it too much during installation. The sticky part of the product creates bubbles within the glue when you install so even if you get the air bubbles out there will be large ugly marks on the product.

Initially, the door protector seemed to be working well. It stuck well enough for apparently not having actual adhesive on it, and the Great Dane's paws didn't do any damage. Nice! Then the weather turned cold (freezing and below). The little (but sufficient) adhesion that was present in warmer weather went away and I'm left with a partially-stuck, mostly-peeling, not-protecting clear strip on my front door that isn't very pretty. Efforts to re-stick it have been in vain.

Is not a product for medium to large doogs. Maybe small. The product did not work for me and I was fully refunded. Great customer service!
