Great value, with online learning resources
Amazing value, lots of creative fun in a small (yet very practical) box. It looks like this has gone up in price since I bought it (£17), but even at £25 it's still great value for money.Everything you need to add to your Pi to build a robot vehicle with sensors. The worksheets and code samples that are available online (camjam.me) explain each step in enough detail that my primary school son managed to get it up and working with minimal guidance. There are also links to other projects with more code to do even more things.Excellent educational resource, especially if you love things with wheels!

They found it to be a good change of pace from what we usually do in ...
I bought this kit for use in the Code Club (coding lessons for 9-13 year olds) I volunteer at. I spent about 6 1-hour sessions building it with a group of 3 kids. They found it to be a good change of pace from what we usually do in the club, although I thought the instructions were at a slightly higher level than they were used to from the official Code Club materials. The included parts are a decent quality - we used the box as the robot chassis (although one of the builders wasn't too impressed that it didn't look like a robot...), attaching the wheels with the included 3M strips, but found these were quite weak and had various issues with our wheels falling off mid-run.The biggest issue is having to manage power supplies for your Raspberry Pi - if you don't find something relatively small and light, it's going to really bulk up your robot! While I'm sure you could find all the components from this kit individually for cheaper, I appreciate that this comes as a nice little kit, with a really nice resource/instructions on the CamJam site.

Little disappointing
Never managed to get this to work fully, instructions aren’t great in relation to fitting to a pi-w

The ultimate robot toy for an intelligent teenager
Added bonus is the extensive online support and tutorials. You can also attend the 'Robotwars' organised by the creators at Cambridge to try out your creation and compare it to what others have done. From the online content, it seems the kit is widely used in schools.
