IMALENT MS03W EDC flash light is ideal for many tasks. It can clearly be used for self-defense purposes and has a wide range of brightness modes. It remembers the last mode, so it’s very convenient to use. Double click on the on button turn the flashlight on the highest, 13,000 lumen setting. It is very bright, so this power makes the flashlight hot in seconds, but that will do the job by blinding an intruder. My laser tester gave me about 45W of light power output (power about 10x higher than strong burning blue or green lasers). Yes, it will burn a piece of paper, so you can start a fire with it. The lowest setting is 150 lumens. It is low but I wish it would be a lower setting available. It is very small so it fits in a pocket, but it comes with a pouch that you may fix to a belt. To charge, you need to take the battery out, a minor inconvenience. The battery life is very reasonable, 27h at the lowest setting.

I have had one of these lights for over a year now, I really like it. so I ordered one for a Christmas gift and it arrived broken ( something was rattling around inside) and only 3 of the light modes worked. I returned it and ordered another and this one wouldn't work consistently either. its a great light, if it works. can't say I'd recommend it any more.

This flashlight is very bright, generates a lot of heat, and has pretty good battery life. This flashlight is very pocketable, as I was able to store it in my pocket when I wasn't using it. I captured drone shots to demonstrate just how bright this flashlight is. 10/10 recommend for the brightness!

This is well made, but the design of function looses 3 stars for extremely bad function!!. Unless you “lock it”, 4 quick (but not too quick) button presses, it gets turned on/triggered far, far too easily. And at this power rating, an accidental on is dangerous! I had it on in my pocket for only a moment and it burned my leg and melted the plastic of the carry case!! A flashlight like this needs a way to turn on in a moment. Not fiddling and clicking trying to get it to turn on. One button will turn on and off, lock, change power levels and also turn on strobe function, ONE BUTTON!! So this powerful and well built flashlight is utterly ruined in that getting it to function is a royal pain in the you know what! I need on/off quickly and easily. But I also need it to NOT turn on accidentally pressed in a bag, your pocket, on belt. Wherever. Also power level and strobe should be easy and not as difficult as it currently is “click, click, click, click’ing” and I STILL cannot lock/unlock or strobe at a moments notice when needed. So if your looking for that immediate response for defense, blind an attacker, or stop someone from filming you on their phones, this is not the light for you! It’s cumbersome, gets DANGEROUSLY hot very very quickly, and is horribly designed functionally!
