A good investment.
I bought this after returning a similar item which was about a quarter of the price, but which was just not comfortable to wear. I'm so glad I invested in this one - it is extremely comfortable to wear for a couple of hours at a time which is what I need for my miniature work; and there is a noticeable difference in the lens quality, as you would expect. It has made my work so much more pleasurable. With a 3.5x lens you do need to be close to the work; just a few inches from the lens, but I haven't found this to be a problem.

Simple, effective, and very useful.
Very good product, very useful for working with anything that requires detail, such as jewellery, or gem cutting, etc. They can make your eyes get sore after a while, so make sure to take breaks with them. Other than that, very good product.

The very best quality you can buy
I work with electronics and have tried the cheap headband magnifiers, all were rubbish. Having seen these recommended I bought one and wow, what a difference. The optical quality glass is a world apart from the cheap copies, the headband is easily adjusted and comfortable audit's well worth the outlay if you require this kind of magnifier. Don't bother with Donegan's light thought, it's rubbish and not worth bothering with.

Big disappointment
SO disappointed.It only "works" if I hold the item very close to the Optivisor, which in my case, with tapestry, is not at all ideal.I was going to try to return it, but because of the delays in the customs clearing division here in South Africa, I find that i now no longer have the time to do so, as it would not arrive in the U.K. within the stipulated return time. How sad am i!

very uncomfortable
purchased this system a while ago but can now give a true time tested opinion about it. Purchasing this was a big mistake-financially and otherwise--it is grossly overpriced--- extremely uncomfortable in use and I would advise steering clear of it--there are better units out there at a more reasonable cost.

USA MADE ORIGINAL
This is my second set. I have had my first set at 3.5x and the resin I got the second set is for convenience as the work bench is on the otherwise of the house. Well worth the price
