CubicFun 3D Puzzles Sailboat Vessel Black Pearl Difficult Model Ship Kit

I've built a few models now and I can concur that this takes a lot longer than 8 hours, maybe with an assistant and a pot or two of coffee you can bring it down to 10. I'm 2/3 and I've been casually building for a total of around 12 hours. For a model builder or a puzzle fan it's great. It does needs patience and zero frustration as the bits could bend or break easily. A little tip, try the LED lights BEFORE you start anything, the wires are thin and you dont want to get through building steps and realise they dont work. Having a lovely time with it so far, looks fantastic. I now want more.

This is the second ship kit I’ve bought from CubicFun, and I’m so happy with how it turned out! Was a lot of fun to build, very satisfying result. I think it’s a great kit for folk of all skill levels. It’s true to the size in the description, HUGE! Would HIGHLY recommend this if you’re considering purchasing! (Note: the two extra black flags on the masts of the ship were added by myself, and not included in the kit)

I've seen some of the comments on this but I found it quite easy. Some of the tabs are a bit fiddley and care must be taken. The instructions are good and for a "Flat Packed" model I was impressed with the end result. I've also seen comments about the lights not working. Make sure you connect them up properly but no worries here. No tools required but some people may find a bit of paper glue might come in handy for the more delicate bits, ie: the rigging. I enjoyed making this model and it looks pretty good too. Took me about a week off and on. I say, enjoy, good bit of fun if your bored!!!

I just started this and in some places the pieces slot in fairly easy but some bits require a bit of force I've also noticed a couple of bits don't stay intact so had to use a little bit of cardboard glue. All in all tho it is looking like a good ship I am looking forward to the finished product once it's done Some of the instructions look a little hard in where to put the next piece but if you take your time then you'll get there

My friends kid loved it and conpleted the puzzle within 2 weeks.

This is my third CubicFun 3D model kit and it is as good as my previous two. I really enjoyed making Notre Dame de Paris and St. Paul’s Cathedral. These were architectural models of high detail and realism. The Queen Anne’s Revenge is not an easy build. Containing over 300 pieces it is quite tricky to put together but very satisfying to build. I enjoyed fitting the LED lights which look very effective in the completed model. Be aware of the size of the completed model if you are thinking of making this, it is big. Around 67cm long and about the same high. It looks superb.

What an excellent model. It came well-packaged and could be easily given as a gift in the beautifully decorated box. I purchased this as a fun project for myself, however, so I just jumped right in to putting it together. As with many other products like this, it is made for multiple countries, so pictures are abundant in the instructions and they are super detailed and easy to follow. A first look at the book may be intimidating for some, it is pretty hefty and lengthy looking when you pull it out of the box, but it is because of the detail and pictures, which is exactly what I was looking for. Upon starting, I was initially concerned about ripping the printed paper off the foam backing board, as that happened with some prior models I’ve done. But none of that happened with this kit. I was even comfortable letting my kids help remove some of the pieces and having them help with assembly. No parts were lost to ripping or bending! I did have to take extra care with the sails, since they are printed and made with a thinner paper. But with time and patience, those came out great too. A single criticism that I have would be the lighting switch. Once installed in the ship and the rest of the ship is built around it, there is very little to press against to move the stiff on/off switch. There is a little latch that you can remove the device for battery changes, but for the routine on/off function, opening this latch would lead to premature wear. I would suggest either making sure the switch moves easily before placing it into the model, or perhaps even that the manufacturer consider making the device have a small push-style on/off switch. Otherwise, I think this is a great model. So overall, I think this is a great model and I would definitely recommend.
