Instant control for my excitable Lab—now I can safely walk all four Labradors together.
I bought the Halti Headcollar (Size 3, Red) for my 18‑month‑old Labrador who pulls like a steam train and wants to greet every passing dog as if it’s his long‑lost best friend! I have four Labradors, and walking all of them together used to be a full upper‑body workout — especially with one of my 18month old Lab - dragging us from one distraction to the next. This headcollar has genuinely transformed our walks. The moment I put it on, I had instant control. No more lunging, no more zig‑zagging, no more wrestling with the lead. He still gets excited, but the Halti redirects that energy safely and gently, so I can actually manage all four dogs on one walk without feeling like I’m flying a kite in a hurricane. The fit is secure, the padding is comfortable, and the red colour looks great. My boy accepted it quickly, and it hasn’t rubbed or bothered him at all. If you have a strong puller — especially a big, enthusiastic breed — this is absolutely worth it.Highly recommended for multi‑dog households and anyone with a determined puller. Total game‑changer.

Excellent.
A game changer for a strong dogI honestly wish I had bought this sooner!I have a very large, strong dog,(70kg Caucasian Sheppard) and walking him could be hard work when he decided he wanted to go somewhere very different from where I wanted to go! 😂 Since using the Halti, the difference has been incredible. It gives me so much more control without having to constantly fight against the lead. It’s comfortable, lightweight and seems very well made. The padded nose band is a particularly nice touch, and once adjusted properly it sits securely without looking uncomfortable for him. I also really like the reflective detailing. Most importantly, it actually works. He is much easier to manage on walks and I feel far more confident and in control. It hasn’t magically turned him into a perfectly behaved dog overnight 😂, but it has made walks considerably more enjoyable for both of us.For anyone with a strong dog who pulls, I would absolutely recommend giving this a try. Worth every penny.

It works
Bought this to replace a different type which I had returned (thank you Amazon) because I found it unsatisfactory. This Halti arrived promptly and is a better design as well as much better made. The webbing is wider so less pressure on the dog skin. It was easy to fit on the dog and stays in place. The buckles and clips are robust. Most important of all it works and my dog is happy to wear it. She is calm and walking much better without pulling. So all in all a success. My only gripe, and it really is just a small issue, the packaging does not do the product justice, creates a poor impression and can’t be helping sales. A small plain plastic bag like a supermarket food bag with a rather tatty piece of paper showing difficult to read minute printed instructions. Other than that all good. Why just four stars? Well there is always room for improvement isn’t there and it is quite expensive for a few bits of webbing and a couple of buckles.

Good control
This worked really well for my dog but only lasted a week as he chewed through this. Soft and comfortable and good adjustments. Allowed for good control

Not a cure, often helps, but wears the fur off a real puller!
I’ve had great results with Halti head collars with previous dogs in the past and I also bought one for my mums dog and it stopped him pulling instantly so she could walk him more easily. However, I must say that on my own new rescue dog I have had to stop using a Halti head collar because I noticed it is wearing the fur from her nose. This head collar usually works - no doubt about it - but it is a “prop” like an E-collar or prong collar (although obviously MUCH kinder) and it doesn’t TRAIN your dog to stop pulling on a lead - it often PREVENTS your dog from pulling on a lead - if you’re lucky. However, if you then stick any other collar or harness on them they will revert to type - unless you train them otherwise. That said, I have had other untrained rescue dogs walk on Haiti’s their whole life with no problems whatsoever. BUT! if you have a dog like mine that has been allowed to grow up with no training and is an absolute steam train on the lead regardless of what you put on them - training, training and more training is the only real answer. I don’t want to make my dogs face bald so I am going back to a standard collar and LOTS of time and patience with training instead.

Quick result, hope they continue
Before I get into the full review my first indication was that they may be a little flimsy, but this is just meant for the head and not entire body and the price point sort of indicates the amount of material your getting. That said I saw no issues with it, the seams seem perfectly fine and I found adjusting them easy enough.Just a little context. I have two dogs that I walk and I've trying to walking them on a single leads which has two attachments (one for each dog). Which as the youngest has become older is a nightmare and so resulted in me going back to having my male dog back on the figure 8 leads. We have tried putting the younger female dog on a figure but she has proven much more resistant to it. My male dog is half beagle and so is driven by his nose, while the female is very sound based and so is more alert to what is happening around her (part of the problem of walking them both, they care about completely different things)I had this on my female dog twice before attempting to walk with it and she just paws at her face trying to get it off. This is as expected and why they recommend treats. I knew this was going to happen though, as stated in the context she has been resistance to the figure 8 leads. My male dog Milo took much better to it, but he also wanted to get it off every now and again... probably more as he knew he wasn't walking anywhere. This morning came the real test. I put the harnesses and head harness on each dog. When we got outside the female dog got it off pretty much as soon as we left (still in the garden) and so we had to went back in put it back on and attempted again. Attempt 2 was much better, she was walking but would still stop to try and paw it off. After removing her paw a few times and the male trying to pull a different direction she adjusted and just walked with.Once the walk had actually begun (2+ minutes of walking with no stops) everything seemed fine, she would still occasionally stop and attempt to get it off and I would remove paw and continue the walk. Very quickly they were both far better to walk, they were actually considering were the other was and were walking side by side. They started realising they'd need to wait if the male was smelling or the female was checking a lot sound out (usually a truck driving by). This next part is only in part about the head harness. The only thing I found about this is that in unison with the joint dog lead, is that they'd keep getting tangled and because they are getting pulled down by the nuzzle they just sort of stop or paw at their face... so just be more alert and ensure the lead is high enough not to get caught on which ever dog is taller.Once we were back the female dog was really happy, so she seemed to enjoy her walk (super tail wags). The male was happy, but he was less resistant and its sort of the norm him getting walked on the figure 8.FYI - I bought a cream one and a green one, both size 3. I wasn't expected any differences and there weren't any.

Handy for training
Took a while for my dog to get used to it, but once he did it stopped him pulling as much

A walk in the woods
A few weeks ago whilst my dog was dragging me up the lane we managed to almost stop to talk to a neighbour. This was only because he was out in his front garden with his seven (!) dogs all of whom wanted to have a conversation with mine. I was almost horizontal at this point and my ears were bleeding with the noise, however, in amongst all the chaos and mayhem I heard him say “halty, look on Amazon” he called out as I was swept away….So I did look on Amazon, and there I found the Halti head collar. Being a cynic I read many reviews, watched several videos and eventually, after a couple more weeks being dragged hither and thither I decided to give this thing a whirl. I also invested in the Halti training lead. I waited for delivery with a certain amount of excitement...could this be The Miracle we’ve been hoping for?A couple of weeks ago our postlady gaily threw the parcel over the gate – she’s very enthusiastic in her work, which is only a bad thing when we’ve ordered something breakable and/or it’s raining. Anyhow, the Halti was here. Oh the excitement! I could hardly contain myself. Doggo? Well she gave me a funny sort of look which said – If you think I’m going to out dressed in THAT, you can think again. A little gentle persuasion and lots of treats and the collar was on, the lead attached and we were ready for off. Well. I was, but She lay down and played Dead. More treats. A couple of steps. More treats. There was a lot of rolling about and head rubbing – doggo, not me, but then, suddenly, she was up and eager to get going! It has been an amazing cople of weeks. We only have to show her the collar and she pushes her snout into it, getting lots of cuddles and praise while the lead is attached. She walks to heel and really seems to enjoy going for walks. She can still sniff the ground as we go, she can breathe, drink water, bite the occasional postlady – just kidding, it’s the male (mail?) variety she prefers – seriously, she can do what a normal, well-behaved dog does as the head collar doesn’t impede her at all, and we now both enjoy our walks. I am no longer a cynic, this truly has been a game changer and what was once a dreaded chore is now a really enjoyable experience. This has probably been the investment of around £20.I must point out that doggo is a Labrador – a Lab/border collie cross who came to us almost a year ago from an animal shelter. She was about three months old at the time and had no training, and no socialisation with other animals or humans, so this turn around has really been fantastic for her and us, her human family.

Articolo ben fatto ed efficiente
Buona fattura e ottima calzata. Va molto bene per il mio cane che tende a tirare al guinzaglio.

Pretty Decent
Packaging looks underwhelming. I hope it's a brand new product. It does look new. Sizing wise is perfect for my mini golden doodle who is 13kg.

Works a treat.
Much more effective than a choke chain for a strong dog. My dog initially found it annoying to have it on his face but when he got the idea that it meant freedom going for a walk he stopped worrying about it. Works a treat.

Game changer!
Absolute game changer! Such a simple design that has revolutionised our walks! We have a strong medium dog and he wouldn’t stop pulling, this collar fixed it in one outing. Nice design, subtle and love that it rewards not pulling by being less restrictive. The reflective aspect is also a bonus. Highly recommend!
