A very comprehensive collection
An excellent compilation featuring all the well-known tracks and some great album tracks I remember from when I had five of their albums . If you are a real fan of free you may be better off buying the original album series which has five original albums for £10 great value. Personally as I listen so much different music this CD was perfect for me.

A great compilation - classic blues rock
Free were a fantastic blues-rock band, as this compilation shows. Being keen on guitar playing myself, Paul Kossoff inspires and humbles me. His rhythm and lead parts are well crafted, potent and moving. The whole band are amazing, locking together with flair and taste. Anyway, I recommend this CD for its classic songs. There's much more to Free than All Right Now - the song everyone knows.

Fire & Water...............
There is a sparse, uncluttered feel too much of the music produced by Free & I have always found the mix of swaggeringblues/rock, soulful ballads & almost joyful pop that typified their career utterly compelling. Paul Rodgers has, to mymind, one of the finest voices ever heard in rock. Couple this with that wonderful vibrato from lamented guitar virtuosoPaul Kossoff, mix in the lovely popping, bubbling bass from the, in my opinion, vastly underrated & also sadly lamented AndyFraser & the rock solid drumming of Simon Kirke & you have music magic. You will find many moments of magic on this collection from the chugging behemoth that is " Alright Now " through to thepop celebration of " My Brother Jake " & many points along the way. This album is perfect to help complete a collection or asan introduction to one of the finest bands that ever graced the planet. Enjoy.

It's A Must For Fans Of Good Music
It's an excellent compilation of nineteen brilliant songs to make people know more about the legendary band Free.I remember one of my old classmates cherishing Deep Purple's In Rock, Led Zeppelin IV, Black Sabbath's Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Free's Highway. We played those albums alongside more recent AC/DC, Scorpions and Iron Maiden albums. Now I bought this compilation because I thought it was a shame that I did not have any CDs from Free and I had been missing the chance to listen to their heavy and bluesy rock melodies for too long.My favorite songs are I'm A Mover, Wishing Well, and Mr. Big. Paul Rodgers has a voice box that you should get to know if you like good music.Enjoy!
