Has anone used these or an othere product in a stone walled house?

Yes. I have placed the bars in the stone joints every 10 cm and for the moment I am happy.

Can these be used on cavity walls

Thank you for your enquiry into Safeguard and our Dryrod product. If you have a solid 9" wall, the Dryrod can be inserted from either the inside or the outside, whichever is more convenient.Alternatively, for a cavity wall with two skins of 4.5" brickwork, the Dryrod can be cut (using the Dryrod cutter) to fit this type of wall. You can then insert the Dryrod from both the interior and the exterior. It is important to note that the Dryrod is designed to be inserted directly into the mortar course. We recommend to drill 90% of the way through that particular skin of wall to insert the Dryrod into.I hope this answers your questions but please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions.Kind regards,Ben BurnsSafeguard Europe Ltd01403 210204

Will this stain internal painted or plastered walls claimed by a reviewer?

Any staining would indicate that dampness has permeated into the plasterwork. When installing a DPC it is normally recommended by building engineers to remove the plaster up to 1 meter above the DPC as it may be damaged by the ingress of moisture. I think a little staining is a small price to pay in avoiding this expensive and very messy work.

Can these be used on a cavity wall

I would suggest that these are used on internal walls cavity walls and internal walls only. However the manufacturers could provide further guidance. The guidance is available on YouTube
