Very Good Ghee from KTC
This is the best tasting Ghee I have found so far. I hope this stays on Amazon. There's no after taste/ odd odour, it looks exactly right. My insides also are totally happy with it, no lactose effects. I've tried a few before and thought 'this is the one' then, and I only bought this one because my usual was out of stock. But now this IS the one for me. Among other things, I scramble eggs in it and I've never enjoyed eggs so much, better than actual butter in my opinion. Edit: Unfortunately the ring pull came off and the can opener can't engage. Should knock a star off, but this is a review of the product. Had to buy a rival's ghee instead.

Lovely buttery flavour.
I love cooking with ghee, just the lovely buttery smell as it melts in the pan is enough to make me feel hungry. Excellent using in the wok, adds a nice flavour to everything. Cook at higher temp than oils without burning. Try it with bacon, or scrambled eggs.

first time i have used Ghee , very impressed
first time i have used Ghee , brought it for a Korma recipe , however used it last night for cooking stuffed mushrooms , the ghee is really nice to cook in , looks a little odd but works well , handles high heat and adds a nice buttery taste to the food . Like it

Received this item with the lid damaged and what looked like oil separation on the top.
The item arrived with the plastic lid broken from the side. So was always going to be lose fitting now. I didn't think to complain straight away, however after having opened the item the ghee which I expected to be solid form in cold weather had something that looked like oil separation. So a layer of liquid and then the thicker ghee at the bottom. I have checked the ghee everyday as I usually take a small amount each morning and the separation is still there. I have always brought ghee and also this brand amongst others so this ghee has either been tampered with or is old and has gone off. I did try some of it and it tastes peculiar still like ghee but with an odor. So very disappointed with this as the price was quite high than if I brought it from an indian shop.
