Bought as a clearcoat to apply on top of Motip's chrome spray paint on a 3D printed Mandalorian helmet, as the regular u-pol powercan spray clearcoat I normally use previously reacted with the paint, causing some disastrous results!Tested it on both a Mando helmet and a gloss black Mass effect helmet using a HVLP airbrush at around 30 PSI, although you could probably get away with a slightly lower pressure. I havent tested it yet, but I'm pretty sure this could be applied with a regular cheap airbrush, as it's quite thin, although you'll probably not want to run it through an expensive badger/ iwata etc.Results were very good! The application did dull the chrome finish significantly, but didn't cause a severe reaction like the spray can clearcoat did. Considering that the chromespray I used is ridiculously sensitive to everything that touches it, this was a very good result. I'm keen to try it out on a graphite powdered Mando next.The N7 helmet came out looking REALLY good, I applied two thin coats outdoors on an overcast, allowing around 5 minutes between coats and then left it for around 30 minutes to dry. It gave a great smooth, high gloss finish that was resistant to me digging a fingernail into it. No doubt more coats would bring the surface finish up to an even nicer shine.The amount used was very small, probably maybe 30ml-ish per coat. It does have a strong smell when spraying, even when outdoors, so a respirator is recommended. However, It's nowhere near as nasty as a 2K and after a little while, the smell does dissappear.I'll be permanently adding this stuff to my workshop supplies, it does a better job than the U-pol spay can clearcoat, takes up less storage space, dries quicker and works out cheaper as well.The only change I'll be looking to make for my next purchase is seeing if it comes in a 2 litre or larger tin, as I'll probably use this stuff up pretty quickly.

After trying it out on a very small area it was found to destroy the acrylic paint underneath.
