• All tracks unavailable in any format since the 1970s • Mixed by venerated sound engineer, Errol Brown • Two of the greatest dub albums of all time! Mixed by renowned sound engineer, Errol Brown at Treasure Isle studio in Kingston, the albums that comprise this crucial collection have long since been widely regarded as being among the finest dub sets to see issue during the mid-to-late seventies. Originally released in strictly limited numbers on Sonia Pottinger’s celebrated High Note label, at a time when dub was reaching its creative peak, ‘Dubb Everlasting’ and ‘Dub Expression’ feature the cream of Jamaica’s session players, including future Riddim Twins, Sly & Robbie. With both albums on this essential celebration of dub unavailable in any format since their original release, long deprived fans can now at last enjoy some of the hardest and heaviest sounds ever to see issue, at a price that won’t burn a hole in their pockets.

Dubble The Pleasure!
this is indeed a stoater! in fact it's a couple of stoaters, kept from the world without a word for forty years - which is also a crime! it is said that these are among the finest dub sets ever, and those that said it aren't too far wrong! both engineered by the talented, but (again) criminally under-available errol brown at the legendary treasure isle studios, and featuring a stellar cast of the good and the greats of Jamaican music, inc. sly 'n' Robbie and the revolutionaries. I will bow to ital's research on the source material, and agree on the quality of the information (and great photos) contained in the booklet. three years separate the two albums, the second being a progression from the first sonically and stylisticly, you'll know when 'dub everlasting' finishes as it's the last you'll hear of the effective and inventive harmonica playing that features on practically every track. they are both, however, crammed with classic dubbing - hard and heavy, it's been described as, and hard and heavy it is, and more upbeat than I was expecting, definitely dubb aimed at the sound system! interestingly enough, 'dub store' have also released 'dub expressions' itself quite recently(nothing for 40 years, then a glut!), along with another errol brown set - 'orthodox dub', which I will be investing in for sure! what other 40 year dormant delights can we expect?

Dubonic Delight
Everlasting is a dub LP I never stumbled upon back in the day.Only knew of its U.K. version Bag A Wire on Klik label. The two are similar as they consist of mid 70's songs like,Move Outa Babylon,None Shall Escape,Not Responsible(Psalms Of Dub),No Jestering,Love Is Overdue and Satisfaction, mostly with Jimmy Becker's harmonica in the mix by Errol Brown. There is a track here that was covered by the Mexicano(Eddy Grant) called Cut Throat on Angen label 45.Expression continues with the same vibe of songs from the era, although in a more sparser mixdown, also by Errol.Great booklet notes from a man who verbage is excellent ,but not a familiar name to me at least. As with all the Doctor Bird CD's good sound quality.Nice.
