Ive had one of these charging cables for 5+ years and it is going strong, despite being smashed up against furniture being pushed too far back to the point the electric outlet’s faceplate broke, but the cable emerged from that blunder unscathed. Its outlasted any official apple charging cables or “heavy duty” cables by otterbox by 3+ years at the fraction of the price. The product came matching the advertised description, and is made from smooth, high quality wire.

These cables have the proper circuitry in them to handle the higher charging power that modern gadgets support. I have an iPhone 14 Pro phone and, by comparison, some cheap cables I bought here on Amazon would not charge faster than 5 watts with this Anker power unit. So I was dubious about this little power unit but I know Anker’s reputation so I tried an Apple cable and it charged at a 10 watt rate. So I knew that the power adapter is capable. Lo and behold, I get these Anker cables and I notice two things: first, my power meter becomes activated as soon as I plug in the cable. So there is some USB c pd wizardry going on inside the cable end. Next, the power delivery is well over 10 watts. Now THIS is fast charging capability!! Those cheap cables that cost 10 bucks or less are cheap for a reason. These are quality, properly engineered cables. They will give you fast charging speeds, if you have a capable power brick. Stay away from cheap junk. Anker won’t let you down. Thanks!!!!

I only purchase Anker cables for my IPhones. This particular cable started to shred too early. I only use at home at its shredding terribly but it’s still usable.

One year update (08/2023): After a little over a year, I can 100% confirm that this charger has served me well and held up pretty darn good. I knew at some point the cable would tear where it connects to the phone and it did but not until recently. Overall, I am very pleased and will be ordering another one along with the cable bites to help with the eventual bending/wear/tear! —————— While browsing Amazon for a 10ft charger, I came across quite a bit of third party options that I was not familiar with. Many were offered at an affordable price (tempting), however, after reading reviews many complained of the phone getting hot which I have experienced in the past and wanted to avoid. I turned to Google and was reminded of the brand Anker, I immediately searched Amazon and found this product which surprisingly I did not find in my intital search. Happy with the reviews, I purchased the MFi Certified USB-C to Lightning cable and have now used it for the past 4 days. So far, it has served me well. Charging is fast, faster than my current apple charger and my phone has not gotten hot! The charger cable itself is thick which I assume helps prevent from the eventual bending, tearing and breaking and in my case, it’s a plus especially with children that like to play with whatever they can grab. Overall, very happy with my purchase and continue to enjoy Anker and its products!
