I have a frenchie who notoriously struggle in the heat, especially on return from a walk in the summer.It folds up & keep this in the fridge and lay it out, he will lay out on it & really enjoys it, It wipes clean with a damp cloth.He did chew a hole in the first one, I only turned my back for two mins, so make sure to supervise your dog while they're using it. He may have eaten a tiny bit of the gummy inside bit but it didn't make him sick luckily.The mat is split into sections, like panels or pockets. So I cut off the section he damaged, cut it the remaining sections into individual panels/pockets along the seams & keep those in the fridge also. They are great A5 (ish) size cool packs for people to use if you have an accident, I hurt my wrist the other day & it was perfect, probably nice on sunburn etc.I bought a new replacement mat for him, I will make sure not go give him the opportunity to have a nibble.

Bought this for my cat for really hot days, naturally he hated it because he's a cat and they're weird around new, lovely things you buy them that you want them to use like his bed he's not touched in the whole year he's lived with us. Truthfully he preferred the cardboard box.I however have been fighting over this with my partner every day that the sunshines!! It's lovely and cool. I've been using it as a pillow.It's really durable and easy to wash. I imagine dogs would love it and cats too if you didn't buy it for them and just left it in a really inconvenient place....I'm very happy with this product. Does exactly as it says on the packet, lovely and cooling

This was delivered within the specified delivery period stated when I ordered.I was surprised to see the graphic indicating a woman with her head upon the cooling pad when I had ordered a small 'pet' cooling pad. However on checking the product label it was as I had ordered.Yes when the pad is pressed with a head, feet or even a pet it is cooling.My problem is trying to get a cat to sit or lay on it but I will persevere!I consider this to be good value and I will find a use for it, durability? Like all flexible pvc items, care will make it last.

From a cooling perspective, this mat worked perfectly well. Unfortunately, the kitten it was bought for chewed it until the gel was on show, so duly discarded. Lasted les than 2 weeks.

I have a pomeranian cross papillon. She is 9. She has a lot of fur, two coats in fact! The advice is not to shave or cut her fur as it protects her from the sun and instead recommend a cooking mat. Sceptical though I was for the price I thought worthwhile trying it out!I bought the medium size, it cost me £6.55.As soon as I placed it on the floor she walked up to it, sniffed it and promptly lay down! I recieved it a few hours ago and felt compelled to write a review!I would recommend this for anyone with a dog who has a double coat like a pomeranian, where shaving/shearing will not only ruin their coat but cause sunburn/sunstroke too.As you can see in the pictures she's quite content! The temperature is currently between 20 and 25°c and forecast to get into high 20s next week, so this is definitely a good idea to keep her cool!

I bought 2 of these mats for the hot weather we were having and just welcomed a pup into the home.I bought 2 of the mats as I also have other dogs.The mats were small in size, however were adequate for the size of dogs and did 'self-cool' which was what I wanted.My negative experience is that they lasted the one day! After some gnawing from the pup and dogs on the edges, the liquid seeped out all over ?is it toxic or safe. I wasn't aware of this right away with the seeping coming from the seems, so unsure if the dogs ingested any of it.I guess these mats are ok with dogs that just don't chew at all - does that exist? And also under constant supervision, which in this day in age is just not always possible.

Works well

Doesn't feel very cool. We bought this for our cat as he always lays down on the desk when the weather is hot, we put this on the desk hoping it would help and instead he lay on a table top. Might help other people, but felt like a waste of money to us.
