Best socks ever!

I was skeptical of ordering these because the reviews saying about the calf muscle part not stretching and leaving indentations and so forth... So I bought them and gave them to my fiance for work because his legs are chicken legs haha... Upon receiving them, I put a pair on (I have gigantic calf muscles) and they were the most comfortable sock my feet ever felt!!!!! They stretched nicely over my calves and while they were a bit tight, it wasn't an uncomfortable tight... It was perfect!!!! My fiance is in construction and on his feet 10-12 hrs a day and loved these socks... The moisture wicking is amazing and so is the comfort.... The first day he wore them, he came home and told me to order more haha!!! So I did!!! And so I can steal them 😂

BLUF: I love these socks, so comfortable, feels so good on my feet, like a difference between a higher thread count on bed sheets, might not sound like a lot, but once you put them on, SO GOOD. So, in 2000, I got a pair of these socks and like anyone, oh well, Socks, I needed some so I guess I don't have to buy them. But man, from the first time I put them on they were amazing! Every time laundry time was done, I would use the 3 pairs I got from that Christmas first, for work, for walking, working out, or just hanging around the house. For the next few Christmases when my parents or wife would ask what I'd like, I would say those socks you got me, but they forgot which brand and type, so I never got them. Fast forward to a month ago, and I realized 2 of the pairs were starting to get a hole, I did a ton with them, so it wasn't a surprise, what was is that they lasted so long. Many of my other socks came and went multiple times. So, then the last couple weeks I was trying to figure out what brand these were, the only word I could see clearly was the word Force, but the rest was a bit worn. It wasn't until last week I put one on and the letters were much clearer and said Carhart, Really?!? So, I searched here, and found the exact ones I had. I ordered 6 packages, 2 of each color, work, play, and chilling. They came in yesterday and today I put one on, and that feeling like the first time came back. I know, it might sound like I'm exaggerating a bit, but man, for real, I've never written a review or cared about socks before, and I was in the military needing socks that would withstand what we did, but were SO thick, these are so much better and not as thick. These socks seem to be well made, although I haven't actually washed a pair yet, so I can't vouch for how they will hold up. But they strike a nice balance between a dress sock and full hiking/athletic sock - not too bulky, but provide some cushioning and support. They certainly work very well for boots - consistent coverage of the foot and they go up past the shank of the boot and stay in place. There is basically no worry that the sock will slip down and/or bunch up somewhere in the boot. Therein lies the only potential gripe - the elastic on the upper part of the sock is LEGIT. I have sometimes described my legs as "chicken legs," and yet these socks are fully compressing my calves. If you have really muscular calves, I don't know if these would really work for you. So far, the comfort to the foot is really carrying the day for me, and I don't notice the calf squeeze that much, but when I take them off at the end of the day there is a deep mark on my legs where the band of the sock was. Probably part of the deal, but worth noting.

I usually don't feel the need to write a review but these socks... yes socks, are actually different than any other sock I've ever worn. I've bought the Dickies work sock and while they were decent socks, they still just felt like a reinforced sock. Socks always claim to have this or that feature but I've always just felt like I have to take their word for it since they don't feel any different.These on the other hand feel noticeably different the second you put them on. The part I was most skeptical about was the compression arch and how padded the toe and heel actually were but that was apparent when you put them on. I can only describe the feeling as wearing a shoe that is very snug on your foot but doesn't cramp your toes. The other claim that work socks make is the breathability factor which is usually just the same sock material being thinner. These on the other hand seem to have a completely different material on the top and sides, similar to a nylon or running sock. You can actually feel a breeze on the top of your foot when you walk around in them without shoes. I can definitely see why some find them to be too tight on the calf because they are and will not move once pulled up and because of the reinforcements and support added, they are harder to get on and off than a normal sock. I have thin calves so it's not a dealbreaker for me but it might be for some even though I like that they're not normal socks.

I read the reviews on these socks from other users that said they were tight at the top so I ordered x-large instead of large. No good! While the bottom of the sock fit well I had to take them off after 5 minutes as the top of the sock's were so tight it cut off circulation and my feet went numb. I am 6-1 and weigh 170LBS and my legs are normal size and these socks left marks on my legs that didn't go away for about 2 days. I have been a customer of Carhartt for many years and still think they make the best and most comfortable work clothes hands down. These socks however were a complete miss on Carhartt's part but hey after all the Carhartt stuff I have purchased, this is the first time i have ever returned one of their products so I guess i cant hold it against them to much...

After buying one set of 3 I came back and got another set about a month or two later. was looking for some summer socks originally. Here's my take. These are on the thin side however that's not IMO a bad thing for summer. Why I came back is I'm somewhat amazed that they have held up as they have. Even with my ratty, rough toenails, not a wear/hole. They slip on as well as the first time, and have not stretched out. Give great support all the way to the top. These won't fill in loose fitting shoes gaps. For the price, which I was skeptical about at first, outstanding. My only worry is that by the time I may need to replace some is that Amazon won't have them. Highly recommend. Your welcome.

Très déçu. Elles n'ont pas tenu 3 mois et sont désormais toutes trouées. J'aime pourtant habituellement beaucoup Carhartt mais sur ces chaussettes c'est le zéro pointé.
