Must have pruner no more blisters
The pruner is the best. Very powerful and the battery charge lasted for a long time even under heavy use.

Works well, well worth it.
Works well, well worth it. These were something I had thought of as a toy or luxury item. While I do have a large backyard, and it's more or less 'natural' and it's overgrown with everything from small oaks and torny vines. These cut anything I would normally use hand shears for (they say 1 1/2" but I'll say 1"). The speed they cut at is fine, and they are easy to use. The end result is very little effort so you get a lot done quickly. The batteries last all day or at least 90% of the day, with a lot of use. I haven't used any other brand so I can't compare them to cheaper models. I decided to go with the Dewalt thinking the brand name would insure quality. The tool is designed with a guard of sorts that provides some protection for your working hand. It also features a safety system to prevent accidental cutting, it's easy to get used to (have to flip a small flap downward and depress a saftey trigger, after that you can press the actual trigger. It sounds harder than it is, the system cannot be defeated with duct tape or similar methods, I think it's a fair idea as I guarantee the tool could harvest a finger quickly. The tool is not cheap. However it's possible to buy a second one as a tool only (no battery or charger) and I had already purchased 2 extra batteries (also not cheap). After waiting for my wife to get done so I could use it and vice-versa it was only $100 for tool 2. Don't regret it. What could be improved? I haven't found a way to carry the tool hanging from may belt, no hook or even hole placed there for a lanyard. I have to assume safety was the overriding concern (back to the part of harvesting a finger or whatever was unfortunately there in the event of accidentally pressing the trigger. I am looking into using a holster designed for a battery drill or carpenters pouch. So far this is a purchase I'm happy with.

Worth every penny of the cost!
This thing is so powerful it scared me! When I go to the store and buy my wife a dozen roses, the tag always says to cut off the bottom 2 inches of the stems. Doing this in the past has been traumatizing to me, how horrible it is. I don't know if you've ever tried to do this, but it sucks really bad. I'm a DeWalt guy, so I figured let me go ahead and get this. It cut through the hole dozen roses in two cuts. It would have done it in one cut if I could have fit them all inside the blade at the same time. This thing has been of great use to me in further outdoor work. It is DeWalt quality at its finest!

The right tool if you have arthritis in your hands.
This works great and is especially nice for those who have arthritis. It will easily cut branches over 1" in diameter. The battery lasts a long time, probably good for 100+ cuts. . Be careful of your fingers though, this machine will take one off.

Great pruners
Great pruners. Sharp and cut well. Good battery life. Some may find them heavy but they are pretty ergonomic so don't find the weight to be an issue

Must have for yard work!
I should have bought this a long time ago. It works great! Only gripe I ha e is the double trigger safety is a little annoying, but better than loosing a finger. I highly recommend this if you have any yard maintenence to do!

Very Satisfied
LOVE THIS ! very happy with it, not as heavy as I expected and so easy to use. With the arthritis in my hands manual clippers are just getting too hard to use, this makes it a breeze.

Pruner's Delight
i bought this pruner after my hands ached so badly hand pruning my trees. I had left my apple tree half done, waiting for these to arrive. Today I went back to the apple tree and WOW!! not only was the DeWalt pruner easy to handle but it made quick work of mini and thicker sized branches. A job that would normally take me three plus hours, I had finished in half an hour. The on/off lock is easy to manipulate with your small finger, while your index finger pushes the cutting button. Even with the battery installed I was able to easily hold onto the pruner. I proceeded to then prune another fruit tree, three birch trees and several rounds of oregon grape and the battery is still going strong. I just love this machine for these old, arthritic hands. The price is worth it as I had tried a cheap knock off that not only did not perform well but was very heavy. My new best garden tool!

The best.
Use these to prune my tree and shrubs in my yard. I only wish I had bought these years ago. The best garden tool I have ever had. Easy to use( I am 70 and if I fine these easy to use , you should have no trouble.) Thanks again Dewalt your tool are the best. PS I have you power saw that running on batteries and it works wonderful and easy to take in my car as I have a summer home off the grid and you never know when a tree is across the road. Way to go Dewalt. Don't think twice buy these pruner you won't be sorry.

Game Changer
This thing is a game changer. I have numerous chain saws, hedge trimers, prunning devices, shears, pole saws, etc... but this is revolutionary. You can process hedges and bushes, sticks and branches at an unbelievable speed with almost zero effort. Love this thing! For those that commented on danger of removing fingers, stop putting your hands in power tool blades. This is no different than any other saw or power tool; you need to be safe when using it. If it couldn't remove fingers, it wouldn't cut 1" sticks. Sort of goes without saying. If you're handy with power tools, and thinking about buying this, do it! If you have trouble getting your pants on without catching something in the zipper, this is not for you.

Impressive
I selected 2 of the worst scenarios to test this out. The first, 2 old apple trees with a vast number of 3-foot vertical twigs that needed pruning, many crossovers, some branches over one inch thick. This beast devoured them all, and made fast work of the side twigs to allow compaction. To see such a rapid, clean cut of a thicker branch warmed the heart. The second, about 30 40 year old evergreens with dead internal and lower branches. Same ease of work here. We are on an acreage and have a dumpster, and getting rid of dead evergreen branches is challenging because they take up so much space. Not with the snip/snip/snip of side branches. The time saved and the reduced wear and tear on hands and wrists are all amazing.
