My First Colors: Let's Learn Them All (My First Tabbed Board Book) Board book – September 12, 2023

This book is so great! It’s nice and big, and has tons of pictures on each page. I love how each page has a tab for each color. I got this for my son’s 2nd bday. He’s been having so much fun naming all of the colors, and taking this book around the house or outside to do scavenger hunts… a game he made up himself! He’ll turn to a certain color and look for it in nature (or in the house). We always practiced saying the color and/or object when he finds it. Having a visual is definitely improving his vocabulary as well!This is a great way to introduce colors to toddlers. They also include gold and silver, which a lot of colors books don’t have. The book itself is bound really well and very durable, even when my son bends it backwards.HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS! Perfect for ages 1-3+, but can also be used as a first words book for babies. The pictures are all recognizable & modern.Hope this helps! ☺️

This is honestly a must for children! Well in my opinion a must for 10 month old kids and up! Really catchy pictures and the tabs will be helpful to the kids who will learn to use them. Vibrant colors of course was a plus.Yes there a lot of pictures so there might be some confusion but only in the mind of the adults. The kids will point out each of the pictures or ones that fancy them to ask you to read what they are. I am talking from experience for about 3 kids only one of whom is mine. She follows my pointing out the pictures and naming them so she replicates my actions but of course not naming them because of her age.The older kids do the same so there is no mix up especially if an adult shows them how to read properly. I have seen some people saying that they don't like the repetitions of pictures in the DK Publishing series 'My First' but I see that the repetitions help giving the kids familiarity so they can remember the words and form connections like the Brown Pony this book was also in the Words edition as pony and my child recognized the pony. Repetition makers for kids to learn properly is my opinion.The prompting questions for some of the pictures are good for them to understand how to do analytic thinking and also how to have proper conversations. Really is a good buy! I am going to get the entire series soon.

Excellent book! However, I'd give the seller 3 stars for not packaging the book nicely, and separate, from the other items - it was just thrown into the box, with nothing wrapped around it. The book itself is fantastic though! I love that it shows many every day items, or things your child will realistically see, in the different colors. I would like to share one fact though... Black is not a color, so adding it to a book about colors isn't a very intelligent move. A black object will absorb all the colors of the visible spectrum and reflect none to the eyes, which is why it is not a color. Anyways other than that, I appreciate this book. I like that the tabs coordinate with each color, to make it easy for your child to get to the page they want, to look at objects in whatever color interests them at that moment. I love the large variety of items shown in each color. Also, the larger size is appealing to children and makes room to show the many different items in each color. A child can spend more time with this book than other (similar) books about color. Overall, this book is great for children who are learning about colors and how to distinguish them. Just be sure to explain why black is not actually a color! :)

I have bought this book [and books in the series] at least a dozen. I appreciate the clean design and variety of things shown. Top notch kid book.

My daughter loves this book. She is drawn to books with lots of real pictures. I am a graphic designer and always loved DK books. The pictures are great and engaging. The tabbed pages make it easy for little hands to turn the pages. My daughter is 20 months and has learned all her colors including pink and gold! She has also learned alot of vocabulary from the pictures! The book has lots of shapes and patterns to discuss. Each page has a few questions to make it interactive at older ages. I highly recommend adding it into your reading time with younger kids.

I got this for my 19 month old and we both LOVE it. I cannot express how happy I am to have found this book, it's everything I wanted in a colors book! The quality of the pictures is great, the content (which items they chose and how presented) is great, the interactive suggestions written in the pages are a cool bonus! (Ex: which of these green things can you eat?) Overall it's a great addition to your child's picture books, helps them learn colors as well as shapes. The pictures are inviting to the toddler and it's fun for both the toddler and the parent to talk about the different items on each page. We are really enjoying it!

This is one of my daughter's favorite books. Shes currently 21 months. I LOVE that this book doesnt just have the colorful colors but that it includes black & white, silver, gold and multi-color. It's a great teaching tool for colors and my daughter really enjoys all the photos. Its a study board book and a great size too. She has a few other books for learning colors but she doesn't reach for them. This is the one she always wants to read. Id highly recommend.

Ordered this for my 2 year old and he really enjoys it. Its a good size with lots of examples on every page so its also a good chance to teach words. I love that this books features all of the colors instead of just some colors. It even has silver and gold. I also like that this book isn't overly simple or babyish so even toddlers can enjoy it too.

Demorou muito a chegar mas valeu a pena, bem ilustrado, cores fortes, imagens bem selecionadas, sucesso total por aqui. Comprei para meu filho de 2 anos, ele é bilíngue.

My 19 month old loves this book, pick it up and brings it to me or his dad for us to read it together. Not only we're learning about colors, but also there are so many new objects that we point to and try to say.

The book is solid.... The design and the make of the book is super cute. My baby touches this book regularly with food. Even so it is incredibly durable and easy to clean with wet wipes. She reads this book almost twice every day

My Baby loves this book she flips the pages on her own.
