Beast Academy 1A Math Guide and Practice (combined volume) Paperback – January 1, 2022

I think all the reviewers on here saying this is for gifted kids, really want to believe their kid is gifted. It actually is a great program, and I have used it on typical students. Overzealous parents: calm down. The fact that you're using this with your kid does not indicate that they are gifted. This program is adequate for your typical child, and could be a great program for your kid.

This has some great problems to solve and my 5 yo stays busy with this.

The media could not be loaded. Beast Academy is not meant for special needs students or students who are on the average scale. Do not purchase unless you have a very advanced student. This program requires parental involvement, but teaches math exceptionally well, and fun. It stimulates the gifted child in a challenging, but appropriate way for the asynchronous development. If you get stuck, it’s easy to work through it and spend the time with your child. It’s very abstractual type of thinking and actually teaches math rather than memorizing as well. I highly recommend. However, I emphasize this is only for very gifted students.

Some people say BA is only for gifted students… I disagree. It can very successfully be used as revision material with students who have covered math traditionally using other curriculum. This allows them to absorb the abstract concepts much better. It also gives the student an alternative view to the concept and expands the way students think of a problem.
