PE Civil: Transportation Sample Questions and Solutions

***BOTTOM LINE*** - Between this book, the six minute solutions for transpo, and a review course I took, this was by far the most accurate example of what I saw on the actual PE exam. This is the best way to prepare yourself for what you will actually see on exam day. I passed the PE on the first try, and much of the thanks goes to this practice exam. I dedicated a Saturday to use this practice exam as if it were the real thing, and it paid off when it came to test day. I would recommend that you do the same if you purchase this study aid. Treat it as if it were the real thing. You will be far more prepared that way.

This was probably the most useful study book that I had in terms of straight practice problems. 6 Minute Solutions are unrealistic in terms of what is to be expected on the test. I definitely recommend anyone taking the PE (civil), purchase this book and work through it. Once I had done all of my studying I did the practice test. When I took my actual exam I found that the problems were very similar to those in this book. Excellent use of my time!

These are the guys that write the test. A must have if taking the PE. Buy other sample exams as well. AM only and full specific PM ones as well. Good luck.

Took this Practice Exam the Saturday before my P.E. in as close to real testing conditions as I could manage (library self-study room...my suitcase full of books...no phone....4 hrs, lunch, then 4 hrs). I did pretty well on this Practice Exam, and that really helped my confidence for the real one....which I also passed on the first attempt! I was amazed at how many of the problems on the real exam were practically identical to ones I had taken in this practice one.

Among all of the study materials offered, this most accurately represents the actual exam. NCEES is the organization running the exam. When studying, make sure you understand how else they could ask the question if they had provided different variables.

If you're taking the test and you don't buy this, you're only hurting yourself. Good examples written like the test questions, at the same difficulty level, and with clear, helpful solutions. Very useful as references during the test.

This PE practice exam booklet was very helpful in providing some additional problems that were not presented in the October 2014 edition.
