Great starter telescope
Very impressed with what you’re able to view with this telescope considering it was around £100 and lots of advice given was to avoid things in this price range and less than 100mm. It’s very portable even with the stand. The stand is light and yes it does wobble but being patient with stability isn’t a problem as it settles down quickly to view what you want to see. The dot finder is probably the most difficult part to set up and please do this during daylight if you’re planning to view anything. Once set up it’s a piece of cake to find anything that you want to look at. Since Christmas Day my son and I have viewed the moon, Venus, Mars, Saturn and Jupiter. Most impressively is that you can see the rings of Saturn and make out the bands of Jupiter which is amazing. I would highly recommend for a beginner scope.

Not bad... Not bad at all
Great starter telescope arrived a few days and already been able to see the north star and the moon. Not had any luck with planets but i guess thats with the coverage outside. Only downside is mine came with a different star pointer than the one shown in the images. I am unable to get this star pointer to fit as the mount is not correct and i have contacted amazon who said they are unable to supply or replace the pointer. I was how ever offered a full refund and they can send a new telescope with the correct pointer or get 25% back so i did this and will just use some mounting tape to get the pointer to fit. Overall its a great starter for people who like astronomy. if you want to see Galaxy's and planets with clearer image i would buy a more expensive one.

Makes girls happy
I bought this to expose my girlfriend to astronomy, as she told me recently that she'd never seen the night sky through a telescope before. It had been a while since I had either, so I saw this as an excuse to get my hands on a semi-hefty beginner-level refractor scope. To my pleasant surprise, my favorite planet, Saturn was visible just a few degrees above the darkest part of the horizon, and I was able to find a place where we could view it properly in the back yard the night after receiving this telescope. The look of shock and delight in her face after she saw Saturn's rings was worth every penny. She spent until 2:00AM scanning the stars. Pros: -Easy to set up -Easy to position/holds its position well -The planets and the Moon come through as clear as day (although I'd suggest a better scope with those who have poor eyesight) -Good size for transport Cons: -The red dot scope is cool, but I still can't manage to calibrate it properly, I think this is a personal shortfall though. -For dimmer objects, like nebulas, I'd suggest something a little more heavy-duty. -focussing the scope can be difficult for beginners as it will cause the object to wobble too violently for fine-tuning.

Wow
Bought for my 8yr olds birthday. What a good start! The mount is a bit tricky and can move abit when trying to get a picture of what you need but for the price, not bad at all. People will knock it but it really is a very good piece of kit and I would recommend indeed. I spent nearly a full week looking at telescopes and it is a complete rabbit hole!! I recommend looking at "The Sky At Night" website for tips of whether you need a refracting or reflective telescope, as it depends on how much light pollution you have around you on a clear night. A lot of money for some folk but a decent but of kit for a starter! I personally think that you won't be disappointed if you manage expectations. There have been reviews of upgrading the eye pieces. Something I'm looking into right now. 👍🏻 Top marks Celestron for the perfect starter kit!

Shooting for the Stars ❕🚀
Ot looks pretty good but we can't figure out how to use the sight finder and both my son and I struggle to even get the moon in focus on a clear night, let alone the stars ❕Mind you perhaps it's just me, I'm not at all engineering or technically minded. Probably need a tutor. Although I also asked my friend George who has an Engineering Msc. Cantab and he couldn't figure it out either 🤣

Great telescope
Bought this for our granddaughter at Christmas. It’s a quality product. Not sure about the line of sight part but I’m sure we’ll figure it out!

Faulty
Bought as Amazon resale. Product faulty. Christmas gifts so beyond return period. Amazon should only resell items that work!

I love the clarity of the the things I see. Moon is absolutely gorgeous with this telescope. I also love the fact that I’m able to see Jupiter (with few of its moons) and Saturn (with a ring). Of course, given the fact that those are indeed very distant planets, what you see is gonna be relatively tiny (like 3 mm in diameter) but sharp, and you won’t be able to differentiate between Saturn’s rings (it just looks as if it has one ring). But hey, given the price of this thing I think the bang for the buck is awesome. Perfect for beginners and kids.
