After Effect Extrait EDP 80ml by French Avenue

At first spray, After Effect smells 1:1 with Side Effect. On the dry down, it starts to separate itself, and lose its intensity on the skin. The original retains strong and intense notes on the dry down, AfterEffect on the other hand smells more powdery on the drydown. For the money, it is a very good Side Effect inspired fragrance, I’d say 95% at first spray and 85% on the drydown. Further, given the high price of the original, this is a great way to smell like the original at a very affordable price. I am very impressed by this fragrance and will definitely repurchase. This is simply too good for the price. One of my fave fragrance pickups on Amazon.

I love this perfume, the fragrance smell so good

Smells good. It’s pretty sweet at first but that sorta fades. Doesn’t smell like side effect to me as much as some claim. Still worth it. Get compliments when it’s worn. Longevity is there. Projection is there. Nice packaging. I recommend it.

The box is very high quality and came un-damaged. It smells identical to Initio Side Effect. The first couple seconds smells a little weird (the alcohol has to go away) but after like 5 seconds it smells like Side Effect. I took a shower after wearing it for like 10 minutes and I still smell it just as strong as when I first sprayed it. The dry down is super good too. The inside of the box is super smooth and fits the cologne perfect. The cologne bottle feels super high quality and it has weight. It looks similar to Lataffa Badee al oud amethyst. The top says French Avenue, and the bottle is a darker color than the photos. The real bottle says “French Avenue” in the middle and “Extrait de parfum” on the bottom of the front. The bottom of the bottle has a gold looking plate with french avenue on it.

Doesn't smell a thing like Side Effect. Extremely extremely tough opening, it opens with a really bitter and burnt tobacco/rubber smell and then kinda dries down to a more cinnamon boozy deal but i just can't get passed that opening. The burnt smell lingers the entire time and it just smells horrible. Super cute bottle but not a chance i'm wearing this.

I dont normally write reviews this fast as I only tried on the product 10 minutes ago, but Fragrance World did something to this fragrance that puts it well above and beyond Side Effect for me. Upon the first 2 sprays, I was blown away. This smells INCREDIBLE and even better than Side Effect somehow. I’m no expert and am just going by my reaction to the real Side Effect on my skin (I liked it a lot!) and THIS. I love this WAY more and my reaction was all I needed to know this. I’m not worried about longevity as the price is right on this, but I dont imagine it’ll disappoint and I will definitely update this review if it does. But right now? This is an absolute no-brainer. Hats off to FA Paris. This is my first from them and now I want more. Absolutely happy I bought this and is right up there with Lattafa Khamrah Qahwa as my fav Amazon fragrance purchases EVER.

Smell is ok, not worth the hype imo.

I have looking for good Middles Eastern representations of Initio perfumes especially Psychedelic Love, Musk Therapy and Side Effect. I would be interested in others as well. I finally found this. It’s been so long since I have smelled Side Effect that I really can’t do a fair comparison……but to my memory it’s really good. I personally like Psychedelic Love better and I am still on the look out for a good version. This one is in a big beautiful deep purple bottle with a metal label. It looks and feels expensive. The atomizer is solid, it doesn’t stand out as stellar but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it either. I find it completely unisex. It going to work well for the wearer. It doesn’t have huge projection but I do receive compliments when I walk by others. I think that’s the main difference if I remember correctly Side Effect projected well. I have great longevity on my clothes. I sprayed it on paper to test and it absolutely has a high oil content. My bottle was produced six months ago so I expect it to get better with more age. This is a sexy smell. I wear what I want when I want but this is probably office safe if you don’t over spray. It’s deep rich and truly gorgeous. There’s tobacco, musk a little woody. Very nice. Great value.
